Has Britain avoided a ‘European superstate’? It means members give up armies and economic power.
The Daily Mail ^ | 6/27/2016 | JOSEPH CURTIS

Plans for 'a closer European Union' have been branded an attempt to create a 'European superstate'.

Germany's foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault today presented a proposal for closer EU integration based on three key areas - internal and external security, the migrant crisis, and economic cooperation.

But the plans have been described as an 'ultimatum' in Poland, with claims it would mean countries transfer their armies, economic systems and border controls to the EU.

Zaoralek added that the four eastern members had reservations about the proposed common security policy.

Eastern members have become increasingly jittery on security issues since Moscow used so-called "hybrid warfare", or undeclared covert tactics - to annex the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in 2014.

Poland's public TVP described the Franco-German proposal as an "ultimatum" designed to create a European "superstate dominated by large nations."

This is really dumb. Germany couldn’t devise a more effective plan to push more countries out.

I was thinking much the same thing. It's one thing to practice coercion through carrot and stick diplomacy. It's quite another to take prospective allies and tell them that their choice is either a difficult, vindictive time on exit, or subjugation within the EU.

One thing I might differ on--I used to think the French were driving the EU boat, trying in French fashion (remember the pre-WW I alliances) to bind Germany more tightly to Europe. Maybe it's the Germans now. Economically, yes. But diplomatically? I don't know, except for Merkel's crazed immigrant-push.

Poland, Czech and most of the Balkans are not in the Euro Zone. They could leave if Merkel sufficiently pisses them off.

Yup.

I read on InfoWars that the EU army was going to be unveiled after the BREXIT vote-as though it would go ‘their’ way.

Historically, the EU was a French-German partnership that the others allowed to lead. I think the idea was just as you suggest - to keep Germany close and in tow. (Interestingly, when NATO was formed the Brits had the same idea, but once the Cold War was on in earnest NATO was no longer needed to keep Germany in the West.) My impression is that in recent years Germany has been calling the shots. It doesn't help that France just can't get its economic act together so Germany can follow the golden rule - he who has the gold rules.

You know, the TTIP and TPP are linked through the US. So, if the plan was to have 1 super-army, US soldiers would be part of that, as if the EU is the 4th Reich.

Couch/connect that with 1) the UN MRAP vehicles seen in VA and TX (for shipping? for internal deployment?), 2) the eradication of Posse Commitatus by 0bama, and 3) the UNWRA controlling the 'refugee' deployment in the EU and on the TX-MX border, under the governorship of the guy from Syria, and...you have a squeeze coming on Western Civilization that will rival science fiction FX. Who knows? Maybe the UN will be called in to suppress the 'organic' (roll eyes) violence planned for Cleveland and Philly.

To think, in 2008, when I spotted UN vehicles in FL via google photos, on some out of the way tarmac, I was ridiculed soundly.

Actually, Hillary Clinton has been behind a lot of this.Especially when Obama gave her control of the State Department.
