God Created the Universe

This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

“Michio Kaku”

Famous? I never heard of this person before.

I think this is great. So many of modern day astrophysicists believe in a godless universe. Hawking is so smart he doesn’t see a need for a creator. We may all differ on how God created the universe but you have to realize there is an intelligence behind it!

It does not follow from Intelligent Design that the god of ID is the God of the Hebrew & Christian Bible.

One can support ID and be an atheist.

And, further, one can recognize and believe in God, but not follow God.

Those of us who are Christian can’t get but so excited about proofs for Intelligent Design.

When I think about God or 'intelligent design', I am reminded of the dragonfly's wing. It is a rigid yet incredibly lightweight structure perfect for flying:

Notice that as the struts get closer to the dragonfly's body, they get thicker to enable movement without breaking.

He didn’t say, “G-d,” per se, but I’ll go with that.

The more we know about how the universe works, the fewer people believe that it was all created by chance.

There are actually MANY scientists who believe in God! Some are even Orthodox Christians, Roman Catholics, etc.

However, they are usually very quiet abut their faith, especially around their colleagues.

Ahhh. So that is why we are to “[speak] to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord” in Ephesians 5:19

Dr Michio Kaku is also a big believer in anthopogenic global warming.

Kaku is more prominent than chair at the once-prominent, now-debased CCNY would indicate. He’s written three best sellers, and lacks Hawking’s uncanny ability to be constantly wrong. He’s a little goofy on issues of nuclear power and SETI, and is probably more noteworthy for being a spokesperson for science than for scientific accomplishments, but definitely light years above Bill Nye the Electrician Guy or Neil Degrasse Junior High Tyson

I wonder if his remarks have been characterized correctly or in context since Kaku has intimated that he was secular/atheist/agnostic in the past if I recall correctly. Sort of like how people use ‘God does not play dice’ to try to show that Einstein was a full on believer rather than the waffler between Deism/agnostism/atheism/pantheism.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Machio Kaku, the World’s Bravest Scientist. He will possibly escape being burned at the stake by zealots in the congregation of climate change believers, but he will be treated as an intellectually deficient leper for daring to express faith in God, the Creator.

Sir Fred Hoyle estimated the odds of getting just the basic enzymes together that are necessary for life (never mind the DNA or the actual cell) to be 1 chance in 10^40000th power. Most statisticians would assert the probabilities of anything less than 1 chance in 10^50th power are statistically impossible.
