Donald Trump repeatedly mocked Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., as Pocahontas at a press conference in North Dakota on Thursday, even as a Native American woman present at the event interrupted to call his comments offensive.
Thats very offensive. Sorry, the woman said.
Is that offensive? You tell me, Trump asked.
The woman replied that she was offended, and Trump quickly repeated the phrase.
Oh, oh really oh, Im sorry about that, Trump said before turning to a reporter who had asked about Warren, immediately using the term again. Pocahontas. Is that what you said?
Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has previously used the term to refer to Warren as an allusion to a controversy over her past claims of Native American ancestry. Warren listed herself as a minority when she worked as a faculty member at a pair of Ivy League law schools in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Though she reportedly is 1/32 Cherokee, that would not qualify her to be a member of the tribe. The issue made headlines during Warrens 2012 election campaign and she defended herself by claiming her family stories held that they had Native American roots. His record has been bad in terms of, you know, speaking about other indigenous people across the border. Mexicans. They are indigenous to their country. And we didnt have borders back in the day on the continent, you know, we were all indigenous people that were roaming freely in what is now Canada, the US, and Mexico, Robertson said.
Robertson, who described herself as a member of the Cree Nation, also alluded to Trumps German ancestry.

Trump is using Alinsky against them, Rule #4 - Make Them Live up to Their Own Values.
That is why they are hypocrites, because they cannot.
Calling Warren Pocahontas is still an indictment, and everyday Americans still see the irony of that moniker. In fact, more will, due to many mis-hearing Faux- as Po- anyway, and others not knowing what Faux means to begin with.
So, still a win. As we like to say around here, 'The People Have Spoken'.
when the camp gets too nasty we just move the camp.
I had an old boss that said that his home office was done “Indian Style”. At the far end of his huge basement was his “original” home office. When I knew him he was in what was the main room of the downstairs - complete with 1960’s era console TV in the corner. (Piled high with stuff).
And all the rooms in between had once been his workspace.
It’s only offensive to those PC ingrates. She claimed to be an Indian, Trump gave her a compliment ok, sort of.
She didn’t run for the Mass Senate.
.
I don’t know why any American would want a President so stupid that she equates ‘Cheekbones’ with ethnicity.
I’ve been stopped in the street and asked if I’m an ‘Indian’ - some Black folks have seemed especially interested in my physiognomy - but my background is pretty well documented, and I’m thoroughly a British/Continental MUTT - as Warren probably is ;-)

Time to circle the wagons!
LOL. Indian style. Good one.
Elizabeth Warren lied about her ancestry. Trump called her on the lie. What’s the problem?
“Does anyone know what % Native American the woman is?”
The article says something about 1/3. I don’t think Warren ever claimed 1/3 but there it is.
A while back I actually found her ancestry. Forget where actually. You can google it, I guess. Found a great-grandfather, I think, who was on an Indian reservation in the Oklahoma territory.
Apparently, back in the day, you had to register with the Tribe to be recognized and receive whatever benefits you were entitled to. Warren’s ancestors did not and the Tribe does not recognize her. And you have to, or are supposed to, be recognized by a Tribe before you can claim ancestry.
Really.
He could have avoided it by calling her by her proper name, Fauxahontas.
Pointing out that a woman lied about her heritage to advance herself is offensive? Okay. We are truly in bizzarro world times.
You Win Post of the Day!
When this cretan poses as a native American to get a job making 350,000 teaching at a college what do you call this?
Dances With Moonbats, laddie.
We’ve been here since 1635 and have a little of everyone in our family. My wife came here to become an American and is a hard core conservative. One of her founding experiences was socialist guerrillas threatening her family. Uribe slaughtered them In the years to come, but she always keeps the image of what socialists always inevitably become after that experience. Yes, she has “high cheekbones” lol...
