A Canadian schoolboy appears to have discovered a lost Mayan city hidden deep in the jungles of Mexico using a new method of matching stars to the location of temples on earth.
William Gadoury, 15, was fascinated by the ancient Central American civilization and spent hours poring over diagrams of constellations and maps of known Mayan cities.
And then he made a startling realisation: the two appeared to be linked.
“I was really surprised and excited when I realised that the most brilliant stars of the constellations matched the largest Maya cities,” he told the Journal de Montréal.
In hundreds of years of scholarship, no other scientist had ever found such a correlation.
Studying 22 different constellations, William found that they matched the location of 117 Mayan cities scattered throughout Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

Not an entirely original idea. I think Graham Hancock (or someone like him) proposed the same for the ancient Egyptians. Pyramid layout at Giza corresponding to the belt of Orion...the Sphinx being the constellation Leo...etc.
This kid needs to flee europe and come to us!!
These people were cannibals. There’s no denying that. Hence I don’t shed a tear for the downfall and destruction of their “uncivilizations”.
Smart kind who discovered this though.

What technology did they use to site the cities?
GPS would be real handy for that, but of course, Garmin was just a recent start-up in those times...
Any expeditions should be less expensive after every thief within a thousand miles will try to loo the city of any treasures.
There should be clear paths by the time the kid gets there.

I’m really curious as to what #3 wrote that was censored on this subject. I like reading this kind of stuff myself and when I see censored comments, curiosity takes over.

Actually, I think it was NON-coincidence that led the young lad to his theory:

It seems that something is being ignored. If all these cities are laid out around the world based on the stars, how were they laid out with the accuracy? Surely it wasn’t done from ground level.
