In a former life I had a boss, who although high in the banking and finance world, and very wealthy, still occasionally reverted to the plainspeak of the soybean fields of Delaware, where he grew up.
Upon reading these terminally stupid remarks of Mayor DeBloviate, he would have given the verdict: “Crazier than a $h!thouse rat!” And I would be inclined to agree.
This artifact of the Spanish-American War should have been cut loose after WW2 for the same reason as the Philippines. The US was out of the business of running other countries, i.e. colonialism. Yes, I understand it was not true colonialism but it had many similarities and absolutely none of the benefits.
There is method to his madness; yesterday he was on the news with Sharpton’s rabble telling them the federal investigation of his election schemes were motivated by those opposed to all of their progress. He is gathering the darker gibsmedats for a showdown with NY state’s (white) Dem hierarchy (including the governor) that is exposing his corruption and seeking to oust/arrest him.
Money should only be lent to governments to finance physical infrastructure.
Welfare and government operations need to be on a pay as you go basis.
Pensions must be keyed to a stable tax/funds available policy.

Economists Worry About Growing Gap Between Rich and Economists
NEW YORK (DPI) - A panel of highly respected economists today expressed deep concern about the increasing difference in wealth between the world’s richest 1% and the world’s economists. “All of our studies show that the rich are getting richer and economists are not getting as rich,” said Edgar Lawson, Dean of Economics at Yale University. “This is a global problem that troubles us deeply,” added Simon Atkins, Chief Economist for Citigroup, “fortunately we are close to a solution which can be implemented immediately once we have the required funding.”
