Scientists from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Glasgow University injected mice with a protein called IL-33 on a daily basis, which resulted in a full reversal in cognitive decline and the symptoms of Alzheimers in a matter of days.
Though the tests have so far been limited to rodents, the team believes it possible that the same technique could be used to treat human patients.
The mice had been bred to exhibit the same kinds of symptoms as those of Alzheimers, though within a week were brought back to their prior cognitive capacities with the protein injections. IL-33 is a protein naturally present in the body, which has been linked to a reduction in the amyloid plaque development that causes Alzheimers and its devastating symptoms.

I take 10 vitamins and supplements a day in the desperate hope that they will slow my memory lapses due to old head injury.
Turmeric is supposed to help a lot. Plus the Vitamin Bs, but who knows?
would be nice for all that have it, AND the Soldiers with head injuries, not to have to fear this disease in old age.
The link between brain injury and Alzheimer’s/dementia hasn’t been studied enough to be conclusive, but it would make sense, as tau buildup in TBI patients has been documented.
Me too. I also read something about maple syrup helping to reverse Alzheimers which I want to check further into.
Folic Acid
Always fascinating.
You should look into nootropics.
They helped my wife with her head injury.
I also take many supplements. I have found Life Extension’s Cognitex with Brain Shield to be really helpful. Kinda pricey though.
Ginkgo is good for brain too.
And dont skimp on animal fats and good fats like butter and coconut oil.
It has been observed that ingesting coconut oil may also reverse Alzheimer symptoms. (Read up on the benefits of coconut oil in the youtube video section).
Thank guys for the input.
I appreciate it.
Spending on this doesn’t upset me because the alternative is a lot worse!
I will pass all of this on to the Veterans with TBI support group sites that I know of.
Please post your findings, I'd much rather eat pancakes every day than get a shot! ; )
Great thread. Thanks everyone!
My sister was diagnosed at 58 last year with early onset dementia. I have been researching masenchygal stem cell treatment here in Phoenix at the-stem-cell-center.com She has been scheduled for treatment procedure on May 4th and they take her own fat stem cell tissue from her own body, run the stem cells through their lab, and renter the stem cells THE SAME Day into her body through intervenious injection and intranasal spray. It will be a long day, but they have seen reversal in cognitive loss and are using stem cell treatment for all kinds of diseases....
Ingesting coconut oil also helps cut down on the severity of shingles. Along with several other steps.
I have bad ‘brain fog’ that accompanies a few thigns i have wrong- it’s awful- can’t concentrate well, get distracted easily, can’t think clearly- etc- them ind just feels exhausted- acts exhausted- and I tried nootropics- it did seem to help a little, but it caused issues where i had to quit them- it wasn’t a miracle cure or anything, but it did help some with the brain fog-
Coffee is a nootropic too- but i can’t drink it due to stomach ulcers and another condition i have unfortunately- I sure do miss my coffee-

By what degree though? 10% 20%? if it’s more than 20% it’;s pretty significant, if under, then it probably wouldn’t even be very noticeable- except perhaps in slight cognitive testing results
We need something that can produce about 40% or better improvement- hopefully science can find something like that- better yet, a cure or preventative-
