I don't know about you but I'm sick and tired of this election season. FR has turned into a bickering board of bitter bubbleheads, it seems. Where we used to see Ted Cruz as a principled conservative... we now attack anyone who likes him as a "Cruzite" or "Cruzombie"... what happened?
First, there was the attack against him that he played dirty tricks in Iowa by relaying an MSM message that Carson was leaving the race. What would you do? If you are in a popularity contest against multiple opponents, wouldn't you make sure that the votes of an ideological brother weren't wasted on a failed effort? It's a logical reasoning... and you don't have days to debate it in committee, you have minutes and seconds before votes are tallied. That Cruz apologized at all for this news media-inspired fiasco shows him to be the bigger man.
Then what? He's following the rules and gathering delegates? I thought we wanted someone who knows how the game is played and can win elections... silly me. The Trump supporters don't seem to realize that DT is not the closer he claims to be. He is riding a wave of populism but is losing on the rules because he is disorganized and unprepared.
Saying all of this doesn't mean I am anti-Trump... I am anti-Dem whether the Dem is Hillary, Bernie, or Biden. Doesn't matter to me. If Trump is the eventual nominee, he will get my vote to stop the Dem machine's destruction of our great country.
In the primary, though, I want the most conservative in the race who has shown he knows how to win. That man is Ted Cruz. Why he is slimed on a conservative board is beyond me... and it saddens me. Maybe he isn't your guy... fine. Why does he have to be slimed? If he does manage to pull out an upset... what have you accomplished but hurting our best chance for conservative restoration in this country?
And the stupid call him a consistent conservative...
“Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen and eligible to be President. Multiple authorities have considered your argument and found you are wrong.
You and several others consciously choose to ignore the conclusions and evidence in favor or emotion and feelings of making america great again.”
The dems will hammer it like a Doberman with a soup bone! They may not win the issue, but they will never let it go. They will make sure everyone knows about it just to create uncertainty.
Religious liberty is in pretty bad shape as it is but we would have far less religious liberty without Cruz’s win on the ten commandments case.
Being able to display Christian content ideas in public would be nearly impossible.
Cruz’s arguments in Heller were critical to keeping gun rights as they are and the loss of Heller would have been a huge loss to the second amendment right.
Cruz’s win in Medellin means that international law does not Trump US or state law. Had that not been won huge aspects of radical globalism would obliterate private property rights and almost everything we know about unique American civic differences including innocent before proven guilty would be in jeopardy.
I really don’t see why they would.
It is somewhat consistent with the right to do this because they did that against Obama.
The left mocked and ridiculed this argument and to some extent they would be confronted for the inconsistency more than right wing critics.
Telling lie after lie about Trump on national tv and we're supposed to embrace the guy???
And then rather than supporting Trump as he appeared to in the beginning he slid over to the other side...Trouble is, he was there all the time...Just part of the scheme...
If Cruz wins, the GOPe wins again...Same ole same ole...
Neil Bush is a member of the campaign. Lindsey Graham (McCain’s best friend) held a fundraiser with Cruz. Robert Mercer, one who defines “The Establishment”, is a huge Cruz supporter.
I’ll give you one big fact. Cruz has walked away from the topic of Amnesty. Now, why would that be?
A couple of more facts; Senator Cruz has very little in the way of Conservative accomplishments. He has no “executive experience”. His career has been that of an Attorney (both public and private) and now US Senator.
I’m certainly not telling you whom to vote for, respectfully, that’s your business. I’m telling you I was a Cruz supporter who has changed his mind. I no longer see him as an outsider, just more of the same.
People who think anyone who is sitting Senator from Texas could say anything but get rid of ethanol don't know which way is up. How about Ted's principled stand on queers marrying one another?
Oil companies have money, NY queers have money, Ted's stand is obvious in both cases.
‘Trump tried to hire Jeff Roe.’
Link?
It is becoming clearly obvious. Soon we will be seeing formal requests, it will need to be organized and backed up by legal advocates, a demand for an audit on request by the base Republican registered members to determine and publically document why millions of voters were denied their voice and vote and full disclosure of every single delegate’s actual interests they were working for, any and all directives they were given from Republican Party leaders, what if any compensation each delegate received for their allegiance to a candidate, any fidelity purchased by candidate organizations to have a delegate vote other than the votes of the election process, any machinations by Party officials to thwart the vote or manipulate the final result whether by the so-called rules or not, which rules allowed the votes of the base to be changed to another candidate who did not receive those votes, how broad were such, either designed or stealth methods, towards changing an outcome and how expansive were they practiced, how aware were the voters of such rules or violations of rules that disenfranchised any vote and what was done to communicate this to the voters, were rules never revealed to the voters or were there practices to change their vote by means of manipulation of rules, who were all the rule makers by name and whether they were paid to do so and who paid them or gave them political, financial or business favors, whether taxes were paid on such benefits or compensations, and the complete history of their involvement and delegations going back over their entire history of such since their first involvement in previous elections.
There is nothing more sacred to America than the vote. Corruptions to the process cannot and should not be tolerated anymore. This audit also needs to investigate the activities of some candidates themselves, and first needs to begin with a probe into the activities of the candidate Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina.
You can repeat it all you like, a lot of people have made up their mind that the facts indicate his is likely not to be a NBC.
It is pointless to argue it anymore, short of a court looking and an releasing the documents that would change these folks minds, if such documents exist. The voting over the next week will let folks know where Trump and Cruz stand with regards to support, on this and many other issues.
Can’t you tell by now, that Dr. Carson is book smart but common sense not so much. Someone told him he should be outraged so he was.
Was that supposed to explain how to reconcile the original intent of the Constitution with Trump’s promise to keep the EPA and the ethanol mandate? It looks more like a an attempt to deflect the question and just keep talking about Cruz to avoid answering it.
Sorry, MamaB, but I see it as just the opposite.
I listen to the guy and hear his lies with my own ears. What more “investigation” do I need?
I can’t stand the guy any more and hope I don’t have to listen to his voice ever again, let alone in a State of the Union speech.
You must think I’m incapable of thinking for myself. DId I mention TRump?
No, I just expressed my disappointment in Cruz. Hang around him long enough and I suspect you’ll become disappointed as well. I just hope it’s not too late when you do.
What we don't need is a candidate who has flip-flopped continuously thru out the election and is sponsored and funded by the GOPe...
Being a conservative anti-America globalist does not give Cruz any points in my book...
I’m sure you meant to say how often Cruz is “accused” of doing the wrong thing. You know, as in “it’s all over twitter”.
You wanna pretend leaving the EPA mandate in place is somehow on par with making Senators whores for sale in a national auction rather than servants of the State Legislature then you explain why it took a Constitutional Amendment to change way Senators were chosen and didn't take a Constitutional Amendment to create an out of control EPA.
You're the one trying to compare apples to oranges which is one of the favorite "principled" games Cruzbots play.
Does Jeff Sessions support touch back amnesty?
Oh c'mon...It's public knowledge he is funded by the Club for Growth and the Bushes and Romney...You can't get any more GOPe than that...
Because we don't care...It's unimportant and just a distraction...
