I said I wouldn’t back Donald Trump at the GOP convention. Then the threats began.

The first email I opened had the subject line, Trump Bull****. The message was pretty simple: You sorry mother******! I hope the worst for you and yours!
The next email had the unambiguous subject line, Traitor of the people and what was the Conservative party/now the conjoined twin of the Progressive left. This missive carried a religious message: God calls me to pray for my enemies and you are my enemy. Your thinking causes you to be a traitor to the citizenry. Imagine the disgrace U R.
What was the heinous offense that I committed that made me, according to one person, the biggest traitor since Benedict Arnold?
I made the mistake of expressing my opinion....

Tries to get “cute” with an incendiary answer to a question. Shocked when there’s a backlash to his incendiary rhetoric.

Question - if a party hack, or elected official if you prefer, is named as a delegate do they get convention costs covered that would be out of pocket otherwise?
In other words, is there economic gain associated with being a delegate?

I agree!! It's so hard to believe
that you are such a hypocrite
when in YOUR OWN WORDS
you say Ted Cruz is NOT eligible to be POTUS.

I don’t know, probably not. But almost all union members do.

LOL! Exactly. I can’t understand the lunacy and violence expressed by Trump supporters, but it seems to be a constant.
I always clarify my statements by saying that I can’t stand Trump and would never vote for him under any circumstances, and while I’m not a Cruz fan, I’d vote for him.
We had many better candidates, but they were driven out by Trump’s money and free publicity without even getting to present their ideas. Cruz has managed to hang in there, and I have to give credit for perseverance even to the odious and useless Kasich (although I have no idea where he’s getting his money from).

Well, this post was going to be addressed to you and 2ndDivisionVet, but it looks to me like his account has been deleted. Quite the coupe, silencing any uncomfortable dissent. I'm SURE he said something vile to deserve being banned, right? Something that any Trump supporter would also be banned for saying. Right? I guess I'll probably be next.
2nDivision, you are obviously living, rent free, in many obsessed Trump follower's heads.
Good on you.
They need to be exposed to the truth, even if they won't accept it. At least later, when the truths are undeniable, they can't say they didn't know.
I've seen veiled threats of violence even here on FR. As one, still sane, Trump supporter said up-thread, there are extremists in any group, and I'm not discounting or excusing any bad behavior by extremist Cruz supporters, but given the ratio of Trump hotheads to Cruz hotheads here on FR, I fully believe that this guy received many vile and threatening emails.
And I'm not talking simple numbers. I know there are far more Trump supporters on FR than Cruz supporters. I'm talking percentages.

See post 46. Attempted you add your handle in the "to" field, but received an error that your account didn't exist.
Kind of embarassing if I just fat-fingered the spelling, but oh well.
