What is Donald Trumps art of deal-making? Failing to uphold his end of the bargain.
In 1990, while Trump was dropping $1 million every week on his homes, yacht, private jet, and other personal expenses, he had defrauded contractors and construction workers by upwards of $60 million. His struggling casinos, airline, and real-estate holdings couldnt simultaneously maintain his lifestyle and pay hired workers, so he chose to keep the former and cheat the latter.
Trump owed a team of construction firms and suppliers payments for their work on his Taj Mahal hotel and casino, which were nearly bankrupt. (Trump himself was about $3 billion in debt to banks and junk bond holders.) Marty Rosenberg, thenvice president of Atlantic Plate Glass, said Trump owed his company about $1.5 million in late payments for a glass job on the hotel. S. A. Miller writes in the Washington Times,
Mr. Rosenberg, who was vice president of Atlantic Plate Glass at the time, helped form a committee of construction firms and suppliers stiffed by Mr. Trump. He then served as a member of the so-called Group of Seven leading the committees negotiations that resulted in the contractors getting partial payments.
Atlantic Plate Glass lost about $450,000 in the settlement, said Mr. Rosenberg, adding that his personal finances took a hit because of his minority stockholder stake in the firm, and that the company struggled but overcame the loss.
Others fared worse, he said, including smaller businesses that didnt survive.

Trump fan boys
yep it seems insults are your game.
This is most definitely a waste of time pos article!
“Its a lot easier to attack the messenger then refute the message.”
Yeah, it is when they are at best a 2015 college graduate. Go follow the children if you wish. Look at her pic. She looks 14. Screw that.
Agree I would have thought anyone on our side , on the right would now understands that the National review is all establishment and pulls out B/S
Worth repeating. I'd also ask how many emails Trump has sent with classified information up to Top Secret on an unprotected server?
You should watch what you post. It is a great way to open the question: “How many people died working on Trump’s buildings?”
Which will lead to stories alluding to the those death’s being trump’s fault.
It’s pure BS but that story will happen and it will be complete with widows and children who have ‘nearly starved to death’ since losing their ‘pa’.
NR has no credibility when it comes to Trump, that was their decision not mine.
Haha competing stories today...Trump is spending a million dollars a week in this one and Trump earns less then $500,000 a year in another. My head is spinning!
“Our Side” is not a great way of looking at it. This site is not 100% trump.
Try reading the article and challenging the facts. It’s more interesting to read and it actually adds something to the discussion.
This NR beltway harlot has deleted her twitter account. I wonder why? LOL.
Baggage my butt, she has freight trains.
Thats a stupid statement
For the record....I am well aware, can not say how I know, but I do, Trump and his unscrupulous group of attorneys destroyed a group of contractors. In fact, I learned of this months ago before Trump became the “rage” and decided with what I knew to be the truth, decided I could never vote for him. I will add this, The Trump people intentionally use low to medium sized contractor groups, anxious to get these mega jobs. When the job is complete Trump reduces the agreed upon amount owed, take it or leave it, and they can not risk or afford tying it up in litigation, so they take what they can get, which is far less than they had agreed and in the instance I know the company owner had to close his business.
Amazing how he flies around in that big airplane and owns all that property.
At least Trump doesn’t have Glenn Beck pulling his strings like he does with Cruz.
Not surprised
National Review has been on an obsessive vendetta to tear down Donald Trump for the past several weeks.
This effort will indeed benefit Hillary, or the substitute for Hillary, as the reality closes in on Hillary. But is this story actually factual, or based on cherry picking data that can be interpreted to mean something that a fuller collection of data would actually refute. In other words, is this smear or fair journalism? From the recent behavior of the source, I may be forgiven for suspecting it is a smear.
Again, Trump is a work in progress. Regardless of any past mistakes, he is Trump: Metaphor For American Conservatism.
