My parents considered FDR as a savior or benefactor. Believed that 'til their death. Used the old term "Yellow Dog Democrats."

Almost disowned me when informing them, their son was no longer a Democrat! 'Persona non grata' for quite a spell.

I just put this list together; seems to fit here as well:

Trump on the issues:

“The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions.....I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun.”

Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p.102.

“I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on health. It is an unacceptable but accurate fact that the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 42 million. Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare. “

“I’m “fine” with affirmative action.”

Source: Fox News Sunday 2015 Coverage of 2016 presidential hopefuls , Oct 18, 2015

“I can’t take Israel’s side.”

"This doesn’t mean a Trump presidency would lead to brown shirts on the street. But there is more to fascism than goose-stepping and military style uniforms, and Trump, like FDR, displays many such characteristics. So when people look at Trump’s agenda and claim “it can’t happen here,” they’re ignoring history that’s not even a century old. Not only could such things happen, they already have. "

Hysterical right to the bitter end.

I think Trump is a Big Government autocrat at heart.

Well, FDR was hailed as “The American Mussolini” when he first came on the scene.

And the hated-by-Trumpsters Mark Levin broke down the 42 million uninsured meme years ago using census data— it was about 3 million uninsured citizens who weren’t in between jobs, illegal immigrants, etc. That number is a sham and it’s accepted— of course by the really really greatest most winningest fact-vacuous Trump.

Oh, and he’s going to make media-issued headsets great again—that way he won’t misunderstand questioners who ask him about David Duke.

I come from the same tradition, except it was my Granparents who were FDR new dealers and southern yellow dawg democrats. My Father would be a Reagan Democrat, I could not vote in the 80 election but by the 84 election, I was a Reagan Conservative.

Not mentioned above, but FDR prolonged the Great Depression by seven years.

Finally the economy was ‘rescued’ from economic depression by WWII.

Former CIA director Michael Hayden believes there is a legitimate possibility that the U.S. military would refuse to follow orders given by Donald Trump if the Republican front-runner becomes president and decides to make good on certain campaign pledges.

Seems there is some resistance.

Comparing the deportation of millions of ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS to the internment of 122,000 Japanese Americans is not the same.

Thanks! Agree!

Past as prelude. So neat, so clean. So full of certitude. Like a fortune cookie Confucianism. Something you might hear on CSI: Special Victims Unit. A maxim cited by pop psychologist "Dr. Phil (link is external)" McGraw, in one of his many self-help books (link is external).

I'm sure you have heard the mantra. It's creeping into risk assessment reports and court testimony by forensic psychologists. Sometimes, it's augmented with incendiary metaphors: The subject is "a ticking time bomb"; he is "carrying a hand grenade and it's just a matter of when he pulls the pin."

One current case of mine involves a guy with a cluster of several violent offenses a few years ago, when he was in his 20s. He was using drugs back then, and hanging around with a bad crowd. Plus, he is chronically psychotic. Not a good combination.

But if you predict future violence based on a set of risk factors like his, you will be wrong more often than not. Only about four out of ten of those individuals judged to be at moderate to high risk of future violence go on to reoffend violently, according to research (link is external). The low base rates of violent recidivism will be working against you.

Agreed. Think if the enticement is removed for them coming they will stop?

Reverse “Build it and they will come.”

Remove benefits and jobs available and “They will go.”

I expect more from you.

Perhaps read my post and refute it, if your goal is to persuade.

If your goal is to ensure the ~30% of Republicans who state they will not ever support Trump, even against Hillary, are committed to their position, continue on.

Hate
Bigotry
Racism

Hmmm, do I see a pattern building here?

Using time tested methods to get information from terrorist, is bad?

Vulgarity, finally something I can agree with. I should do less of it.

Voting Trump...
