Three Simple Questions for Trump Supporters
American Thinker ^ | February 26, 2016 | Daren Jonescu

Posted on 02/28/2016 10:30:31 AM PST by Avoiding_Sulla

One summer's evening, a skinny, not-particularly athletic boy, perhaps eleven years old, scored the most glorious touchdown of his life.  This was not a real game.  My friend and I, along with his older brother Phil, were just tossing a ball around in the park.  But it was a memorable triumph because I scored my touchdown by outmaneuvering Phil with a head fake, and then outrunning him for half the length of the field.  It was almost too easy!

snip

...today, addressing myself to any Trump supporters who are not already lost to the irrational anger he feeds on -- please don't scream about "righteous anger," as if I don't know the difference between justice and wrath -- I pose three simple questions:

(1) Don't you get the strange feeling that this has all been suspiciously easy?

snip

(2) Don't you find it odd that Trump, who habitually says the harshest, crudest, vilest things he can think of about anyone he perceives as an opponent or threat, never substantively criticizes the key players in the establishment at all?

snip

(3) If you were Rove, McConnell, and the rest of the GOP elite, and you wanted to end the growing grassroots threat to your power and influence once and for all, how would you go about it?

Anyone who thinks this is ‘irrational anger’ doesn’t love liberty. Doesn’t understand the Constitution. Has no concept of real freedom.

And is very probably a member of the bread-and-circus crowd.

In my view, Obama is Marius part 2.
G. W. Bush was Marius part 1. Patriot Act. No child left behind. Refusal to implement tort reform. Refusal to reign in bad behavior at FANNY MAE, FREDDY MAC. Beginnings of bad rules of engagement in war. Many more gifts to Leftists.

I am voting for Trump to destroy the existing power structure in the Republican party that has offered little or no resistance to Obama.

When the GOPe spent donor money getting DEMOCRATS to vote against the Tea Party candidate by falsely accusing him of racism, it showed us that the existing power elites control the Uniparty.

TRUMP WILL DESTROY THEM!!!!!

We will then turn state by state and expel from our party anyone who won’t build a damn wall, deport Muslims, and keep our jobs here.

We will then redefine our culture making the PC nuts marginalized, the liberal press irrelevant, and the GOPe money enablers targets.

The real REVOLUTION is here.

Trump 16!

Hope that explains it clearly enough for you dim wits.

“...emotions have been deliberately stoked to a fever pitch by professionals.”

That is the history of the human race. Always has happened, always will.

They did it when our country was very young, if not even more so.

The Republican cabal has had it's shot and shot it's bolt. They're all talk, prima donnas, they know what Conservatives want to hear and have focus grouped and speaking coached a message to spew at election time. Other than elections time, though, they're nothing but hot air, especially the ones who when on camera stand up and rail about their fellow Republicans then quietly go along to get along when the camera isn't rolling.

Even Cruz who is supposed to be an "outsider" boils down to, "a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury signifying nothing.".

A third of the workforce is unemployed, another third is underemployed, and fully half of working folks depend on "Foodstamps" which are nothing but a clever way to hide the fact that half the workforce is in the same shape it was in when relying on depression era bread lines.

The FDR/LBJ scheme ran it's course, and the Republican alternative has been to scream, "Smoot Hawley !! as an excuse for no longer protecting American jobs and workers the same way this country protected industries here and workers here for the majority if its history right up until the great "free trade" scam kicked off with NAFTA.

The fact that Republicans can't see that their BS isn't working and instead are running as fast as they can to push TPP just shows they're not the least bit interested in representing those who elect them, Conservative principles, or anything else other than their own ticket to Big Rock Candy Washington.

After the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is no longer your friend and the pin is out of the grenade in this country. Sulla may well look timid by comparison.

“We do not want a Sulla.”

We do not want foreign born persons unlawfully campaigning for President in defiance of the Constitution’s prohibition of any person born abroad.

When did habitual lying and clinging to rabid ignorance despite all documented fact become confused for “Principled Conservatism”?

-When did habitual lying and clinging to rabid ignorance despite all documented fact become a political movement for the Trump fanboys?

Another Trump-hater who shows he’s never listened to one Trump speech. The answers are in every Trump speech, directly from Donald’s mouth (no teleprompter)

I'll take a crack at it..

(1) Don't you get the strange feeling that this has all been suspiciously easy?

Nope. But Trump is a killer businessman and brilliant tactician and strategist. And his competition are a bunch of lying politicians who can't think for themselves and have to have massive teams of helpers to poll test "strategies". So in that regard it's like a shark against guppies. But there's a whole bunch of guppies and only one shark.

(2) Don't you find it odd that Trump, who habitually says the harshest, crudest, vilest things he can think of about anyone he perceives as an opponent or threat, never substantively criticizes the key players in the establishment at all?

He has. But Trump is a goal oriented person. First goal is to win the Republican nomination. To do that he has to eliminate the competition. Next goal is to beat the Democrat nominee. After he's President he starts working on the establishment.

(3) If you were Rove, McConnell, and the rest of the GOP elite, and you wanted to end the growing grassroots threat to your power and influence once and for all, how would you go about it?

There was actually an attempt to this by the way the primaries were setup in the Republican party. They were setup to make it difficult for a grassroots or special cause candidate from succeeding. They did this by making the early primaries proportional so that an uber conservative candidate like Cruz wouldn't be able to win. Or so that a movement candidate like Ron Paul couldn't survive. The plan was to have Jeb contrast himself to Cruz et al and achieve a broad coalition that would enable him to win one or more of the early primary states. BUT Trump knew that plan...likely due to Christie's advice. HE became the broad coalition candidate and kept constant fire on Bush to stop him from gaining ground. NOW the gope is in trouble because Trump has turned their game on it's head. It's forced them to go to Rubio and now Cruz has turned to the dark side and put party above country by going after Trump.

It's not going to work. Trump at this point is impossible to beat in the primaries. The GOPe didn't plan on somebody knowing their strategy and crafting a strategy to beat it. Trump did that. Trump HAS the grassroots.

Question for American Thinker

Why don’t you go after Hillary as hard as you have gone after Trump?

It’s all a joke. The dems should love the “bern”. He promises free college, higher taxes. But, he is to much of an outsider. He truly believes in the socialist thing. It’s not just a gimmick to get elected, so the party hates him. So Hillary will keep winning every coin toss. Then you have the republicans. Even the candidates that claim to be anti-establishment have turned out to be establishment. Sad!! It’s all a game. I understand why they despised Sarah. Cant have anyone upsetting the apple cart. She tried to warn us of the “good old boys”. And just to set the record straight, I am not a huge fan of Gov. Palin. The Pauls (Ron and Rand) believe in limited government, for the people. The establishment portrayed them as just plain crazy. The party is rotten to the core and the stink lives in each and every elected official. I don’t hear Joni Earnst making anyone squeal and Mia Love flipped faster than you can say Mia Love. The house and the senate should have started impeachment and treason charges against the “won”. Instead, they give him everything he wants and more. Hell, even the conservative caucus did not have a problem with Ryan as speaker. What??? I think it may be too late to turn this Country around. Many see Trump as maybe our last hope.

This is getting so old and boring, including ‘vanities’ where I’m asked to justify my chosen candidate.

You completely nailed it! There has been a rash of these articles and vanities about "Why do you support Trump?" or "Simple questions for the Trump supporters..." It is Alinksy-like psy-ops, designed to plant seeds of doubt into the minds of Trump's supporters.

There are simply no alternatives to Trump right now. I am not voting for Rubio, and Cruz will get destroyed over his eligibility issue and he has no path of winning anyway. If Trump is forced out of the race, his supporters (including me) WILL STAY HOME. We are not holding our noses again for the Republican establishment.

You just stated the entire Trump presidential platform. You probably went into too much detail, though.

If you’re talking about the Palm Beach Mar A Lago Article slamming Trump, I’ll defend Trump to the fullest. I KNOW what I’m talking about when I support his decision. In SEASON in Palm Beach, it is impossible to find QUALIFIED workers.

Hiring “Wait staff” sounds so easy. There are three kinds of Service a waiter SHOULD know. American Service, French Service, and Russian Service. Different types of service are required for different functions and dining. In a high end restaurant or club, the wait staff must be proficient in all three. Does Any one of the snarks here know what I am talking about?

How about chambermaids. Thorough cleanliness and HONESTY are priorities as well as proficiency. Housekeepers and housemaids have pass keys to your chambers where you have valuables, checkbooks, phones, innumerable personal information available to anyone knowing what to look for. Even jewelry is often left in the room during the day and sometimes even after checkout. Not everyone uses safes and other services for safekeeping of valuables. I’ve had paniced guests call from the road home to tell me they left this or that behind, once a completed manuscrips, most often jewelry....once a lady left $200,000 in jewelry under he mattress.....it had already been turned in by the housemaid who found it.... Hiring a trustworthy person is not easy in this day and age. The critics of Trump ae very stupid people on this issue.....and on others.
