Back in 1991, a judge found that Trump has conspired with business associates to hire illegal workers and cheat them of their pay:
In a ruling released on Thursday, a Federal judge found that Mr. Trump, a group of his associates and a union official conspired to avoid paying pension and welfare-fund contributions by hiring the immigrants to demolish the old Bonwit Teller building on East 57th Street at Fifth Avenue to make way for Trump Tower.
Back in 2013, Trump was a big believer in amnesty and in the DREAM program:
âYou know, the truth is I have a lot of illegals working for me in Miami,â he told them, using the term for undocumented immigrants those in the meeting found offensive. âYou know in Miami, my golf course is tended by all these Hispanics â if it wasnât for them my lawn wouldnât be the lawn it is; itâs the best lawn,â Pacheco recalled Trump saying.
Trump said he knew the work of undocumented people is what makes his golf courses and hotels great.
âAt the end of the day, what weâre looking at is a value proposition for America,â Tijerino said to Trump at the end of the meeting, referring to immigration legislation.
âYouâve convinced me,â Trump said to the delight of the activists in the room.

Back in 2013, when Marco Rubio was part of the Gang of Eight and Donald Trump was supporting amnesty, Ted Cruz was standing tough against the Gang of Eight amnesty bill.
There is only one candidate in this race who has a record of being tough on amnesty, and it's not Touchback Trump.

Funny how Red State is just gushing over Rubio, yet berates Trump for doing the same thing as Rubio.

Don’t look for Trump to invite Erick to any of the inaugural balls.

“If this amendment is adopted to the current bill, the effect would be that those 11 million under this current bill would still be eligible for RPI status. They would still be eligible for legal status and indeed, under the terms of the bill, they would be eligible for LPR status as well so that they are out of the shadows...”
Doesn’t really sound like standing tough to me.

Do you ever get tired of pretending Trump is some sort of conservative? Perhaps if Trump moved a little more to the right, he could be a RINO.
To: nclaurel
Thank you for mentioning that. Sen. Cruz is co-sponsoring with Sen. Sessions a bill to stop all H-1B visas temporarily and greatly reduce the number once the freeze is lifted.

Some of them are going all-out scorched earth because they know the end is nigh, as if it were Germany 1945.

Almost every Freeper used to think that amnesty was the answer!
The majority here used to call me a racist who would lose votes for Bush for being so outspoken.

At some point yes. Then he logs in under his other screen name and starts over again.

I don’t remember a time when Trump was ever a US Senator or Rep so to speak of him as influencing the process one way or another is ridiculous.
To: TBP
Thank you for mentioning that. Sen. Cruz is co-sponsoring with Sen. Sessions a bill to stop all H-1B visas temporarily and greatly reduce the number once the freeze is lifted.
But Cruz only recently took that position. It wasn’t that long ago that Cruz favored increasing H-1B visas and if not for Trump, we wouldn’t even be discussing this issue. I’m not here to bash Cruz or support Trump but in all fairness, they have all said or done things in the past that would be frowned upon today.

Don’t Trump supporters ever get tired of supporting a candidate who has held the exact opposite of a conservative position on every issue of importance to conservatives? This guy has literally been to the left of the RINO’s like Lindsay Graham, Olympia Snow, Arlen Spector, and even to the left of the two candidates in the “other” primary.
I guess the Trump supports have “gotten over” supporting candidates who believe in and fight for conservative causes and would like us to join them. Sorry, some of us still have principals and beliefs that we adhere to and aren’t ready to let our anger blindly lead us to support a charlatan who mocks even his supporters.

Never supported amnesty and never will. I don’t support Cruz as my first choice but will if he is the nominee. Rubio is like shoveling feces. I might have to do it but I will never like it.
