Yep back in the day a tag left open caused lots of problems.

even changing the number I can’t get any farther back than 2001.

The stuff I posted in the 90s must have been very heavy as the server can’t bring it up from the deep.

There were some major outages back in the day that may have impacted your search. Also
I think they changed programs which may have an impact upon old post.
