I predict the President will nominate DOJ AG Loretta Lynch for Scalia's chair.
If the Republican Congress or presidential candidates resist this choice, the President is giving Hillary fodder for rallying the black vote and bashing the Republicans as 'THE RACIST PARTY' and this would be a continuous media feeding frenzy throughout the election!
If the Republicans do not block this then America is finished. And it will be time for a new party and disband the Republican crap.
Is she a lesbian? How could the senate turn down the first black lesbian appointment to the Supreme Court. What else matters? /s

So.........what would be different?
Just ask Dr. Ben Carson for a full-throated public explanation as to why Lynch is utterly unacceptable. But really, all this discussion wouldn’t be happening if anybody, anywhere, could put any trust in McConnell and the GOPe. In fact, the reason we’re having this “what-if” guessing game is precisely because everyone knows how utterly squishy McConnell and the GOPe are.
It doesn’t matter what liberal he nominates.
They only get one vote like the rest of them, and they will all vote with the liberal 4 to remove the last of our freedoms and must be stopped at all costs.
Business as usual
It will be too late then.
5 liberals rubber stamping anything and everything.... *shudder*
If Obama wants to get someone approved, it’ll be someone moderate enough to win over the backstabbers...Mukowski, Ayotte, Flake, Lindsey Graham. You know they and a few other will cross lines with the slightest excuse.
What if Congress took as long on choosing Scalia's replacement as you did to make a decision on the XL Keystone Pipeline which took 7 years?
Black

Harvard Law
pre-approved by this Senate 56-43 in 2015.
It’s a beautiful strategy.
Truth.
Well....the GOP approved her once before. The fold is imminent.
He will nominate someone, anyone, other than the qualified white guy.
Prediction: he does an interim appointment today; I don’t trust him. Why pass up a golden opportunity while Congress is in recess and has done nothing to protect itself?
Her successor as AG will have to agree not to indict HRC, that may complicate things.
Corey Booker.
Why nominate? Recess appoint her now.
Nope, she’s too much of an insider. People will think poorly of it thus ruining his strategy.
