Dear Trump Supporters... Shove It! [Jim Robinson responds at 198]
Vanity | 2/16/2016 | pgyanke

Dear Trump Supporters,

You say you don't support Ted Cruz because he's a liar (even though he backs up everything he says) and plays dirty politics (like sabotaging Dr Carson's run in Iowa). The former has been dealt with every time it's brought up. I want to deal with the latter definitively.

You say that Ted Cruz deliberately sabotaged Dr Carson in Iowa. However, it has been shown conclusively that Ted's team got the information from CNN who got the information from Dr Carson's team. If that hurt Dr Carson's results... show me one person who changed his vote because of that information. By now, someone should have come forward.

You want to know who is playing dirty politics? Your guy. I know many people who would like to vote for Ted Cruz but they don't think he's eligible due to the birther issue... because of your guy. There is a demonstrative level of support for Ted that is being suppressed by the allegation. Yet, the only definitive statement on the subject from an objective source (IL Board of Elections) has ruled in Ted's favor.

Your guy persists. Constitutional scholar that Donald Trump is, he persists with the birther comments and suppresses Ted Cruz's support. Oh wait... it's not because of the Constitution. Trump will drop it if Ted apologizes. Seriously? This isn't a Constitutional issue for Trump, it's personal... and that is his Achilles Heal. It's all personal for Trump.

You want to challenge Ted Cruz's eligibility? Do it. You simply want to keep the issue alive to hurt his campaign? That's just the usual dirty politics... and your guy isn't the paragon of virtue you claim.

So... put up or shove it.

Very uncool post.

I agree it's a bit over the top. I just got angry listening to the radio. In one sentence, the news is about Ted Cruz taking away Ben Carson's chance in Iowa and the next story is about Donald Trump suing Cruz unless he apologizes. Sorry... unless Trump does something substantive, his stance on this birther issue is ten times worse than what Ted is even accused of in Iowa.

Should never post while angry...

Cruz is my second pick too. I used to be happy about it, then he started with all the BS. The shame mailers, the fake checks, lying about other candidates, etc...

Now, I’ll still vote for him, but I’m not excited about it, and if he did somehow win in spite of his off-putting personality and slimy tactics, I would not spend four years carrying water for him when his presidency turned out to be just as shifty, underhanded and utterly disappointing as his campaign.

Blaming others just because they don’t support your chosen candidate first in the primaries is over the top.

I don’t blame you if you support Cruz first. But don’t tell me to shove it. That condescension is the hallmark of not only Ted’s campaign, but also his supporters.

I am not there yet, but getting there. But I don't care about Cruz's personal fan club. They are already lost following a false prophet and therefore have a whole bunch of other problems. I am coming to believe that Cruz simply cannot be trusted.

For example: we will end up holding our breath waiting for the illegals to self-deport. There will be another flimsy excuse for the wall not being built. The last few remaining jobs continue to float out of the country as Cruz authorizes that 500% increase in H-1B visas he always wanted. And last, all those executive orders will kind of sit around waiting for review. You know, Cruz's actions by means of how he lies, prove he is untrustworthy.

Because of FReepers like you, I’ll never check the box for Cruz.

I’ll let the entire nation burn before I vote for Cruz.

Lies don't become you. If you had any inkling of voting for Ted Cruz, you wouldn't let one crazy (and that's a self-description after all of the crap throwing) dissuade you. By the way... if Ted is the nominee and you keep your promise (and other Trump supporters I'm referencing) you may get your burning wish.

The specter of original intent is bigger than Hillary’s ambition and every lib in the judiciary knows it.

Except any lawyer worth his or her 'constitutional' salt knows exactly what a 'natural born' US citizen... means. Born in Canada will not ever be 'born in the USA' of two US citizen parents. Unfortunately, on this Cruz is wrong. His big problem at Harvard was he made his claim to fame following the 'original intent'... Now he demands an exemption for himself...

Ted Cruz will NOT get my vote. Because I don’t want to be associated with his followers

Fortunately, the chances that you will face the choice are very small.

But I would vote for Ted Cruz in the general. I'm opposed to his nomination because I don't believe he could win. Most of the things that have happened in the last month have made his victory, always remote, even less likely.

His crew here, though, HAS turned out to be particularly nasty. Surely they could imagine reasons to oppose his nomination other than hating Jesus, being a homo, or hating America.

And yet, so many here have pointed out these exact same rules and insisted that WE have to adopt them in order to push back and win...
Now one of us is doing exactly that.

A question for you Trump supporters: Do you agree with Marie? Is it okay for your candidate to employ Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"? Does her contention that "WE have to adopt them" comfort you?

If Cruz ever takes off his "polished orator" hat and comes out swinging like Trump does, I may take a closer look. But as long as he's unwilling to kick ass, he's a non-starter with me.

I do believe you have captured the essence of the Trump Train quite nicely. Cruz is my 2nd choice, for the very reasons you so aptly stated.

Their guy is going to disappoint them. I’m not voting for their guy even if he wins the nomination. I’m voting for my guy and going to write him in if he comes in second. I will have a clear conscience when things don’t go quite as they planned when their guy goes into full derangement mode.

I am very much enjoying Trump and Cruz going for the jugular since I support both of them. Either is infinitely better than any of the others except for Carson. More importantly their tiff is sucking all the oxygen out of the media environment and suffocating the evil establishment stooges Bush and Robocito.

When all is said and done there will be two positions to be filled if the bridges aren’t totally burned.

The only people that are shouting Liar Liar Pants on Fire are DT and Rubio.

Jeb isn’t screaming Liar at DT
Carson is screaming Liar at anyone
Kasich isn’t screaming Liar Liar.

Nope, it’s only DT and Rubio pulling out the L card.

And friends, that is because neither DT nor Rubio can adequately defend their positions or statements that Ted Cruz is pointing out.

The L word itself is the tell.

What about those of us who back both but would be satisfied with either?

Was Cruz/Trump and donated hundreds to Cruz but believe that Trump has the better shot so am now Trump/Cruz.

Those that waste time and energy finding ways to trash either (some trash both) need to stop and think before they moan about how our "representatives" don't do the right thing and get it together - we can't seem to get it together either....

The rant was useless as it continued in the mode of trashing either trump or Cruz instead of finding a way to help at least one of them make it to the WH.
