I heard on Fox TV News that Justice Scalia died of a heart attack.

Oh, Fox News can do nvirtual autopsies long distance like the judge who declared it to be natural causes?

I'm not too good digging through the statutes. What specific provision do you think requires an autopsy?

0bama could appoint someone and we have the possible "nightmare scenario" of a President Bernie Sanders or President Hillary Clinton appointing two more.
In a worst case scenario, we could switch on the television news to hear an Attorney General Holder telling us where to turn 'em all in, just like Dianne Feinstein's dream.

A heart attack is highly likely...

I agree, but also contend that in Obama's final year in office foul play is also highly likely. Not having an autopsy for such an important figure is cause for suspicion, especially since no doctor even examined the body.

An overweight 79 year old man with a stressful job? What on earth could have killed him?

Yeah, but what about a 79 year old government employee who couldn't even spell the word "stress"?

This decision by the family is highly suspicious (if true).

He had a big family, and if anyone in government would be aware of the dangers of Obama it would be a supreme court judge. The family would be wise to just let it go at this point, as they could never win such a battle and they can't get his life back anyway.

Maybe a real life version of Quincy’s boss, the bureaucratic Dr. Astin.

Who signed the death certificate and was that doctor even looking at the body?

A judge determined the cause of death to be natural causes, over the phone with no medical advice at all from the scene. The same judge also called for no autopsy.

The Republic is already dead. It just don’t know it yet. 19 trillion in debt....no longer any debt ceiling limitation....its over. The only way it can be held together now is by force. And they will try.

At a minimum:

Art. 49.04 DEATHS REQUIRING AN INQUEST.

(a) A justice of the peace shall conduct an inquest into the death of a person who dies in the county served by the justice if:

(3) the body or a body part of a person is found, the cause or circumstances of death are unknown...

(6) the person dies without having been attended by a physician;

Art. 49.10. AUTOPSIES AND TESTS.

(e) A justice of the peace shall order an autopsy performed on a body if:

(1) the justice determines that an autopsy is necessary to determine or confirm the nature and cause of death;

(i) If a justice of the peace determines that a complete autopsy is unnecessary to confirm or determine the cause of death, the justice may order a physician to take or remove from a body a sample of body fluids, tissues, or organs in order to determine the nature and cause of death.

Andrew Breitbart’s autopsy was a strange one. Since I have little time here (have to notify my precinct of our caucus), I will paste what I found here:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/11/30/no-answers-in-death-of-technician-linked-to-andrew-breitbart.html

In the early afternoon of April 18, 2012, Michael Cormier, an autopsy technician at the Los Angeles coroner’s office, drove himself to Kaiser Permanente Hospital complaining of heart and stomach pain and diarrhea. The doctors suspected a heart issue or an ulcer and recommended he follow up with his regular physician. Two days later, Cormier asked his wife to call 911. An ambulance took him Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where he died several hours later from massive organ failure.

While he was at Providence St. Joseph, an unidentified family member called and recommended that the hospital check Cormier for poison. A screen test found a significant amount of arsenic in Cormier’s system, and the hospital contacted the Los Angeles Police Department. In the early stages of the investigation into Cormier’s death, the police wouldn’t rule out an accident, suicide, or something more nefarious, and the coroner deferred the cause of death pending further toxicology results.

Government Zer0-a-cide?

Many families do not want autopsies. He had a heart attack. He died. Why an autopsy? Let his family bury him.
