In spite of fears to the contary. I thought Lady Gaga not only looked respecable, but she sang the National Anthem with respect.
Well, this thread has departed from the trashing! And rightly so!
Post #45 you got that right.
Comments like yours make me embarrassed to admit I hang out here..........What a Richard!
If she’s singing the new song that dropped this week, God help the viewers. And the censors.
Not for long, read on........
I liked her outfit, but it was still just too warbley and “individualized” for me. Like others, I like it sung straight with no weird, random frills.
thought it was very well done
Reported nothing, she’s been doing a fair amount of decent jazz - and i wasn’t a fan until recently
The National Anthem is a tough song to sing well. She overdid it a bit, but she did great nonetheless.
Supposedly that is what she will be “singing”. I read the lyrics earlier today. Trashy is the nicest thing I can say about it.
Very good.
Whoever this “Lady Gaga” is .... her rendition of our National Anthem was respectful and wonderfully sung.
She did great!!
It was in pitch, and done respectably well. The rest is up to personal taste... as I said I like it sung clean. We are so used to bad singing when someone actually sings the right notes in tune we are impressed. I will just never appreciate her type of artistry.
Barf. That was not as bad as most. But it wasn’t great by any means.
I played it with husband sitting across the room. He complained first and asked who it was singing. He is a lot more generous than I am.
The Whitney version is much better.
Love your post, love YOUR tagline........huge animal lover too ;)
I’m a tad slow.......did you like her or not?
Ditto
I didn’t care for it, but then again, I don’t care for Whitney Houston’s version either.
I can remember when Destiny’s Child first came out and it was all about how wholesome they were and she was a Christian, etc. The last halftime show in which she performed, my comment was “all that’s missing is the pole” and I’m not a prude in the least, but really, there my young nephews watch the game with their parents and it really rankles my sensibilities.
