Prior to this primary, I've never seen or partaken in, the vitriolic discussions Ive seen on FreeRepublic before now. Particularly when we all have held the same goal for so long.
But I am now guilty, as others are...
Thought you were going to bed. Seems you just had to try one more time. I would suggest a nice cup of hot chocolate. Will calm your nerves and help you to sleep.
You’re correct about one thing. I am not a peacemaker. This election is too important. Nor am I a troublemaker. I seek to educate people on a few extremely important points such as the constitution. Some don’t wish to learn, they prefer to stubbornly dismiss being educated. Some do wish to learn and will take what I say and do some research and find I have given them good advice. We have little time left and we need to fight for the person best QUALIFIED to lead us out of the shadows of destruction where we are headed. There is one who has the talents that are needed at this time in our history. It is not a question of whom you “like”, it is a question of who has the talents, the skill set to save America. It is not Cruz.
So you pat yourself on the back about what a good person you are. The rest of us will be fighting in the trenches to save the country as we have always done.
I agree.
Sure Molly, you have your point to make, your truth to tell. Just find another way to say it... and back it up.
If it is your âfeelingsâ say as much, I did. If it is fact back it up with real facts, show us a link with the facts.
But hatred for the sake of hatred is what I am fighting.
I don’t trust Donald at all, but I do believe he loves the country. You see how easy that is? No need to be hateful and try to disguise that as the truth.
....................................................
The constitution of the United States of America
Article II, Section 1, Clause 5. “natural bornc itizen.”
Article I, Section 8, “Law of Nations.”
E. Vattel, Law of Nations, 1758
George Washington, Law of Nations
John Jay, Vattel, Law of Nations
Benjamin Franklin, Law of Nations, Vattel.
Start there and when you have finished doing a little research I’ve recommended, I’ll give you another list including a long list of Supreme Court decisions, all related to Vattel and the Law of Nations.
Then we shall see what is FACT, vs your “feelings.”
What I “hate” is willful ignorance. Willful is the key word.
Yep.
We could go from Obama to B'wana.
This isn't a soccer match, we actually get to choose who is playing on our team, and that's a choice that should involve serious research and deliberation.
Is there still wisdom on FR?
Ya suure, you betcha!
Proverbs 16:33
The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.
It is best done when standing in the exit...
Guilty as charged!
We get to “choose” who is playing on our team ???????
You are all about to find out in the most startling manner possible, that we have absolutely no say in who we want for a candidate if it is not who the Ruling Class Establishment insists is placed to continue the illusion that this is still somehow a Republic.
A vote for Trump is, unfortunately, a covert Clinton. He’s sold too many things and ideas before under false pretenses. Now, he’s selling himself as a conservative.
You are so right. The vitriol I have been seeing here is most disturbing and not at all helpful. I am sure that none of the nasty comments can change anyone’s vote.
+1
Same here.
We send good men and women with the best intentions to Washington. Most go wobbly, rino, or worse.
OTOH, the rats send openly leftist jerks to congress. None go conservative.
Clearly, it is the institutions themselves that are corrupt. Sending good men and women to corrupt institutions results not in reformed institutions but rather another batch of corrupted men and women.
The presidency that Obama relinquishes (hopefully) will have more in common with the office held by Hugo Chavez than George Washington. IOW, the next prez, no matter who, will have despotic powers. It is time to reclaim our free republic. Elections alone are insufficient.
Article V. While we can.
In all fairness, we were confronted with similar choices all along. The crisis had simply not matured to the level it is today. The best remedy for keeping healthy is to have the wisdom to treat conditions early and often. When they take root and spread, the knife is all that is left. Voting for a dull hatchet wielded by a snake oil merchant is not the cure.
I do not believe we will solve anything with a bully and a braggart who simply seizes soundbite slogans as campaign bona fides. His record shows no such convictions. I believe he is a perfect spoiler for this time - almost engineered.
Thank you and God save the Republic.
