Thank you for the love expressed on Bristol's blog post. The homegoing of our Grandma Lena yesterday is so sad, but we'll always be uplifted and encouraged by her strong, tenacious Christian spirit. This beautiful 95-year-old Yupik Eskimo elder is matriarch to our five generations here; she was a hard working commercial fisherman who loved God and family so much! She's been a blessing to our entire state of Alaska.
But as it is written: âEye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.â - 1 Corinthians 2:9
Let's stand in the gap for one another in trying times, knowing our best days are ahead.

RIP, Grandma Lena
Prayers for the family.
She missed the morning rally, likely because she was up all night to address the arrest of her son with authorities and lawyers. Also 3-hour time difference. Of course, the press makes news of it all, PALIN MISSES RALLY! Oh the horror!!
But she gave a stemwinder of a speech in Tulsa that afternoon. The Palin of old was right on time and on target.
Begone PDS bots, begone...
Prayers for the Palin family.
Palin has a lot on her plate right now.
I read a story years ago about losing a loved one. They said leaving this life was like going on an ocean voyage. There are loved ones sad and crying as you leave the shore...and there are loved ones who have taken the voyage before you. They are eagerly awaiting on the other shore for your arrival.
May God bless her and her family.
I read somewhere that this lady was Todd’s Grandmother.
It is to much. The hate filled jerks are so twisted that they can’t let their Palin family bashing go....even for the passing of a loved family member. Not even for a day.
God bless, Grandma Lena. Rest in peace.
Condolences to the Palin family for their loss. I’m sure they’ll miss her very much.
Todd’s.
Bon voyage. Rest in peace. I hope you’re in a better place.
She was she kinda remind me of my Alaskan native aunt mother and father so sassy to bitter end
Let’s see if the Palin haters jump all over this thread.
Thank you.
That's what someone said at my father's funeral. We stand on our shore, tearfully saying goodbye, but at that distant heavenly destination stand the relatives and friends who have gone before him, eagerly anticipating his arrival. When they spot his ship on the horizon, they all yell excitedly "Here he comes!" :-)
Todd is the one with the Native blood.
I like the way you stated much better, thanks! :-)
I think I remember reading that, now.
RIP
Lost my Grandma in 1995. She was 87, and one of the best friends I ever had.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. She took a shot of Bourbon every day; said ti was :good for the heart, and oils the bones”.
Tough old Coal Miner’s daughter, my Grandma... but a heart of gold.
