Fox orders new 24 pilot with none of the original cast

It’s official: Fox is making a new version of 24.
Also official: The reboot will have an all-new cast, with producers currently seeking an African-American actor to take over for longtime series star Kiefer Sutherland.

In another switch from the original series, the show will focus less on a lone wolf lead and is more of a “two-hander,” with the Carter character paired with a female co-lead.

24 was good. Surprised it has taken this long for the powers that be decide to continue it. Kiefer has a great voice and voice can be very powerful indeed. It will be difficult or impossible for anyone to pretend to be him. Agree, sometimes the actor image becomes the role. No substitutes. Edward Woodward is Robert McCall, Peta Wilson is Nikita, and Kiefer Sunderland is Jack Bauer.

Anyway, I couldn’t miss out on stating the obvious similarity. Male white guy leads replaced with a black guy and a female in many ‘remakes’ these days.
And I’ve seen the new Star Wars movie twice. I kept getting lost, and bored.
