It’s official: Fox is making a new version of 24.
Also official: The reboot will have an all-new cast, with producers currently seeking an African-American actor to take over for longtime series star Kiefer Sutherland.

In another switch from the original series, the show will focus less on a lone wolf lead and is more of a “two-hander,” with the Carter character paired with a female co-lead.

All that's left is an angry white guy and they can call it 24: The Mod Squad Returns.
What is “24” without Jack Bauer?
What is 24 pilot ?
“What is 24 pilot ?”

A 12 pilot with twice as much sense.
.
Jack is now a token PC black guy ? As a former rabid 24 fan .. I won’t be watching this one.
A black, a blond, and no gay character?
I kinda liked 24 until I found out what a leftist little puke Kiefer Sutherland is. That, added to the increasingly ridiculous story line, I stopped watching it sometime in season 3.
Maybe they’ll keep this one in the same time zone as reality...
I think that Idris Elba would be a great choice.
Will he be a muslim and the female character gay...oh wait and will they make the president a muslim and have the enemies be russians who get help from tea party military types...just thinking of Whitehouse Down that awful movie

No brainer...Terry Crews!
“Jack is now a token PC black guy?”
It will be a relentless PC celebration. It will be like spiking your favorite drink with some bitter medicine, you can get it down, but it will never be pleasant.
Fox is desparate. They have had a horrible year and now with American Idol leaving and possibly Bones leaving, they will have a lot of hours to fill. They are going to throw everything out there to see if something sticks. They were lucky with Empire, but that was not a remake and it is a pretty decent show. They need to try some original stuff and see if something sticks. Trying to recycle will not work.

Well I guess you might as well kill yourself. You literally can’t do anything without running into a liberal in daily life. I wonder how you would feel if that grocer is a liberal. You can’t (unfortunately) go through life without coming into contact with a liberal in life. It is impossible.
I occasionally watch Bones, but that is about the only Fox Channel program I watch.
I made it through about 10 minutes of Rosewood and Empire before turning the channel.
Formula for failure.
Who’s backing this turkey?
I'd feel like maybe he rubbed his sweaty genitals on the arugula, because that is what those people do.
Liberalism is a set of values, but they aren't MY values.
#7 Not yet. Wait for episode 2
24 was good. Surprised it has taken this long for the powers that be decide to continue it. Kiefer has a great voice and voice can be very powerful indeed. It will be difficult or impossible for anyone to pretend to be him.
It would make sense for it to continue with Keefer himself. Actors after all or not what their parts/roles portray. It is simply acting. The audience is those whom give their roles such power and following. It would be easy to suggest it is a few years later in Jacks career and could make appropriate changes. Hope it works out well.
No Jack, no 24.
