As the woman continues to calmly and softly stroke Priscilla, she calms down and appears to relax into her first ever affectionate touch from a human.

Probably thought she was going to be beat again. Sad. But at least a happy ending.

Heartbreaking to watch the poor thing. Imagine how bad her puppy life had to be up till then. I cried.

My second cat was homeless, skin and bones and obviously abused before I took her in. I had to be careful not to have anything in my hand that looked like a club. Once I came home from work and absent-mindedly had a folding umbrella in my hand as I reached down to pet her. Whiskers was so terrified she ran off. Finally dawned on me that she was afraid of the umbrella, so I put it down, coaxed her out from under my bed and proceeded with calming and reassuring her.
Whiskers was an older cat when I brought her in. Although she was always skittish and feared strangers, she was a gentle, loving cat toward me. I'm grateful for having her in my life and I'd like to think her last six years of life were happy ones for her.

That poor little dog. What kind of nightmare has he lived through? Very sweet how he learns to enjoy the affection.

My dream job is finding people who have abused animals and... being in charge of their fate. I won’t go into detail.

Thought of you with this video. Starts out sad, has a happy ending.

I’m not much of a dog person but that is heartbreaking.

Absolutely heart wrenching. There is a special place in hell for those who harm helpless animals.
