Iowans Dump Trump
I assume this was directed at Iowa fans here for the Rose Bowl.

PASADENA, Calif. (Reuters) - Five planes flew over the annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, on Friday writing messages in the sky that included "America is great! Trump is disgusting. Anybody but Trump, US," as onlookers craned their necks for a view.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the airborne protest, targeting Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, which coincided with the end of the New Year's Day event that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Pasadena, north of Los Angeles.
A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. The billionaire businessman is seeking his party's nomination for the November presidential election.
Security on the ground for the parade had been tight, with some 700,000 spectators expected to throng the 5-1/2-mile (9-km) route of the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade, which is followed by the 102nd Rose Bowl college football game.

There is a company that has 5 or 6 P-51 Mustangs fitted with smoke generators, and one plane has a punched-tape type transmitter that allows them to write dot-matrix messages. They naturally file flight plans and follow lots of rules.
It’s a well-known outfit, so there would be no reason to worry about them. Apparently they’ll skywrite anything you pay for.
I’ve seen them many times over Manhattan Beach during volleyball championships.
More free publicity for Trump.

On a day Trump is not spending any time or money he gets all the free publicity.
I watched the parade and never saw the plane........epic failure!
I'll note that, even in liberal SoCal, folks didn't react positively to these messages.

We were on N Sierra Madre just after the turn off from Colorado Blvd.
The plane flew around for quite a while.
After that, they sprayed a few Geico ads.

I wonder if they realize silly things like this only boost his popularity?
Kind of tells us who they are most afraid of.
Why would they use P-51's? When it comes to fuel these are really thirsty, and avgas is not in the $2 a gallon range.
