Filthy hu-mans: pay no attention to these obviously fake photographs.

Return to your mundane existence.

That is all.

Another guy and I were fishing on a lake near Harrisburg, PA around midnight some years ago. Nothing was biting, so we put our rods down and just kicked back at opposite ends of the boat and watched the sky.

Suddenly we both spied a group of lights, very high; probably 20,000 ft or more. Some danced around, others stopped and held still, some would “go out” and then come back on, and generally just lollygagged around, doing things no conventional aircraft can do.

They intermittently would glow brighter and dimmer. They slowly moved off to the southwest and disappeared. Then after a few minutes they suddenly reappeared again for several minutes before disappearing for good.

All the while we were watching them, we could hear dogs barking from over in the area below where the lights were maneuvering. I did not hear any sound from the objects. I only mention the dogs because dogs can hear much more than humans can.

I saw that ball of light near West Columbia Texas close to the banks of the Brazos River . It was just getting daylight, I was sitting in a tree, deer hunting in about 1966. At first I thought the light was the head lights of a vehicle disturbing my hunting but I quickly realized that a vehicle would not be bouncing up that high.

There is a folk tale in that area and the light is called Baileys Light. Britt Bailey was an early settler near there. He was supposed to have been buried standing up with his gun, his lantern and his whiskey, tho I think the whiskey is a later addition.

I am certainly not the only one who has seen Baileys Light.

I’m reminded of an old cartoon from maybe the Saturday Evening Post or some other magazine from the mid 1960s.

A tribe of natives is looking up in awe and terror at a bi-plane flying low over them. The witch doctor looks at the chief and says...”SWAMP GAS.”

Where I used to live in New Mexico, neighbors told how lightning would often strike the hill behind them, then it would bounce down the hill just like a glowing ball.

My wife saw her first chain lightning when we crossed the Mississippi (I-40) during a terrible rainstorm. I didn’t get to see it as my eyes were on the road and truck ahead.

Looks like a couple of those LED flashlights that somebody threw in front of his camera.

That, or they’re Skrylixian Battle Cruisers and we’re hosed.

The picture was taken at high noon, so you shouldn’t be able to see an internal light source. Seems like it must be a reflection of the sun instead.

What is telling is that the object seems to be duplicated further back in the frame, along a diagonal line towards the top left part of the photo. That seems consistent with lens flare phenomenon to me.

Cool, I love to watch lightning.........from a safe place, of course.

We were in west Texas a few years ago and drove out to look for the Marfa Lights. Expecting nothing we were surprised to find that the highway dept had created a parking lot on the side of the road and the lights were already in full view. I have heard several explanations. I have no idea what they are but the lights are there!

It’s a rescue mission launched from real Earth to recover those of us that fell into the space time rift and ended up in Spock’s beard world.

Saw something similar around 15-17 yrs ago at the Mt Rose lookout at the north end of Lake Tahoe. Was up there with wife and friends around 10:00-11:00 pm. Its was a clear night no moon. Stars were very clear and view of the lake was real nice.

I enjoy looking at the stars and you can watch satellites as they pass. Saw one, or it looked like one, on a N-S path thru binoculars. Just a bright point of light. Very high up. Then it stopped its pass and made 4 very deliberate 90 deg. turns returning to its original path. It stayed stationary then sort of vibrated then shot SW across the lake in 1-1.5 secs.

John Keel, author of The Mothman Prophecies and other way-out titles, described seeing what you saw. He discovered, completely by chance, that he could exert some small degree of control over the lights.

As he watched one small red light across from the hillside where he was sitting, he thought "move right." It did! He thought "move left." It did that as well. He kept this going for a while.

After many years of examining the UFO phenomenon, he concluded that the more one looked into it, the stranger it got.

Maybe, the Quix, but I have it on good authority (an inside source, as it were) that the Earth is really a tourist stop for playful adolescents from Regulus Arm, Fantail Sector Upper Quadrant who were displaced off the “Nothing Works, Don’t Blame Me” a long while back. Unfortunately, shortly after they were displaced, the “Nothing Works, Don’t Blame Me” decided to Sublime leaving them stranded.
