Sobering report. If you have cancer, you should avoid sugar of any kind. If you don't want cancer, I suggest that you limit your sugar intake. Avoid "high fructose corn syrup", and processed sugars. If you want to lose weight, avoid things that quickly become sugar (white breads, potato, rice, alcohol, etc). Reducing these things has a major impact on your liver and pancreas. Eat lots of green things!

I’m actually trying to get as low as I can with carbs. I’ve cut my intake down to probably 20g a day and am trying to go lower (got to learn to drink coffee without sugar.) I’ve lost 25 lbs and feel pretty good.
I would assume that if “60 Minutes” reports it ... it must be settled “science”.... but you can’t see it because of National Security concerns!
Hey, if your mom lived to 90, she DID do it right. But in the end, something’s going to give out. I mean... my grandma died at 93 of pneumonia. She didn’t do anything wrong, it’s just that by that age, the body is tired of all this.
I agree. What horrified me was that as a health nut she still thought she was to blame for her “fate.” Ridiculous! She also blamed everybody else for their death, lol. “He drank too much!” “He ate too much sugar!” “He didn’t have enough Brewer’s Yeast!”
Ridiculous.
I agree, but I don't think sugar is essential.
You never hear of a Navy SEAL in at BUD/S claiming, âGosh, instructor, I canât eat this garbage...
Well, most of them are young. The young can live on pizza and ice cream. I know. I did. When I was young. LOL...
If you’ve made it this far with no cancer, I wouldn’t worry. One sugary soda a day probaly isn’t enough to make any difference.
I don’t think there are percentages for getting cancer (never seen any). The studies are looking at the operations of cancer cells and comparing them to the operations of normal cells. All cancer cells have abnormally high levels of sugar in them. What I’ve read is that cancer cells are fueled by glucose and normal cells are fueled by glucose, ketones, or fat.
Does keeping a low carb diet keep people from getting cancer? I think the answer is it’s possible. Some of these researchers are convinced of it since they’re changed their diet to low carb.
“I know playing buzzword bingo with a comeback makes you feel smart, but when you are eating rocks and twigs in some vain effort to âbe healthyâ, yet are not, well, that isnât smart.”
I’m certainly not the “eating rocks and twigs” you persist upon inventing to use as a strawman argument. Actually, I’m eating more food than usual and not getting hungry afterwards anymore. That’s what happens when you at foods rich in natural fats. They kill the hunger for most of the day. So, you’re just making up a fantasy whenever you try saying that.
“These fad diets come and go as feeble minded people adopt them, thinking theyâve outsmarted death yet again.”
If you weren’t behaving like a closed minded bigot and actually learned something from the videos, you would know that nutritional ketosis is no and never has been a fad or a fad diet. You were born with a ketogenic diet when you were a baby. ketogenic diets were in use for centuries while people didn’t recognize it as such. The diet has been a standard medical practice for more than a century for diabetes, epilepsy, and/or other medical disorders. So, you cen give up your efforts to vilify the diet as nothing more than another inconsequential fad diet.
“Try eating a healthy and balanced diet without being a glutton and youâll find your health is restored just fine.”
That false and inane comment qualifies you as a first class moron and bigoted idiot.
“Making excuses like, âGosh, I only ate half a pie but usually eat the whole thing so I must be getting healthyâ, doesnât cut it. Eating too much is eating too much, no matter how much you used to eat. Fat is fat, no justifications can change that.”
Eating 600 to 900 calories per day for nine months and less than 1,400 calories per day for more than ten years hardly qualifies as gluttony you fool.
“Cutting out essential foods doesnât cut it. Starving your body of essential foods is ignorance and death waiting to happen sooner.”
That is correct, which is why a male needs on the order of 1,500 calories per day with a balanced diet of the macronutrients. Unfortunately for your dimwitted misinformation, Type II diabetics gain weight eating 600 to 1,500 calories per day despite a size and weight which is theoretically supposed to lose at least 1 lb. per week on a 2,000 calorie or even a 2,300 calorie per day diet. The elevated insulin results in hormones that shut down and block the ability to burn fat as fuel for the body. So long as the body uses glucose as the primary fuel for the metabolism, their ability to burn fat is turned off until eliminating all but a small fraction of the carbohydrates are removed and the body switches to buring ketones from dietary and body fat.
“You never hear of a Navy SEAL in at BUD/S claiming, âGosh, instructor, I canât eat this garbage the Navy is serving, I must treat my body like a temple and only eat rocks and twigs.â Hell, they eat anything they can shove in.”
The NAVY Seals at the forefront of research on using rebreather apparatus are using ketogenic diets and experimental exogenous ketones to avoid severe health problems associated with the use of such devices. This research and operational use by the Navy was discussed in one of the videos you failed to watch and/or comprehend.
I was the head bartender at the original San Gabriel location in the early years. : )
Look at bulletproof coffee with part of a stick of butter and/or coconut oil.
I don’t drink coffee, but the people who do seem to brag about it being their breakfast.
I’m already dead.
I’m so sorry. It’s a horrible death. My mother died from breast cancer that metastasized to her spine and brain.
Ooo, I tried it with butter and found it awful. I’ll try the coconut oil.
On the contrary. n this case, however, you can look at it as being like the fact that a stopped clock has the right time of day twice a day. Carbohydrates are being consumed at a per capita level far far higher by more people than ever seen before in Human history. Why would anyone be surprised to discover there is evidence demonstrating this unprecedented use is now causing an unprecedented and catastrophic increases in heart disease, diabetes, dementia, Altzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Scleroris, autism, and other disorders related to high chronic hyper glucose levels? Before you dismiss this problem as some kind of dietary fad, try informing yourself with the pros and cons you find in the videos in this series.

I use plain text and not HTML as a general rule on FR.
Sounds dirty, lol!

I substituted two fun size Snickers bars for you from your kid’s Halloween stash.
You enjoyed the heck out of it, although you remember them tasting much more delicious when you were a kid.
