"Half a million people are dead who should not be dead," Angus Deaton, the 2015 Nobel laureate in economics told my Post colleagues Lenny Bernstein and Joel Achenbach.
Deaton, an economics professor at Princeton, was talking about the stunning finding that he and his wife, Anne Case, made while analyzing U.S. death data from the past few decades. The researchers found that the mortality rate for white men and women ages 45 to 54 with less than a college education took a sharp turn upward in 1999 - a disconcerting reversal that has been virtually unheard of in advanced countries.
To put that number into perspective, Deaton estimates that a half-million deaths is "about 40 times the Ebola stats." He added, "You're getting up there with HIV-AIDS."
The couple's study, which was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences this week, offered a number of possible reasons that this might be happening. And since its publication, other experts have weighed in on other trends that might explain this phenomenon. Below is a look at five of their theories. Many of them have to do more with psychological distress than traditional causes of death such as heart disease or lung cancer.

BINGO....in very large measure. Whites have also taken a “cultural” beatdown also with much of the media and establishment on a jihad to make whites feel guilty for the problems of others. I predict that next “they” will be coming for the Asians in America.
People in that age range who actually have a career (since many have been displaced by those up-and-coming diversity hires who are 10 years younger) don’t have “time” to get sick. So, they work through the pain, skip the vacations, work the overtime, and then die from the undetected cancer or the heart disease that they wanted to do something about but never had the time.
Add that to the fact that they are expected to care about the company like they own it and they need to work like a 25 year old yet their income declines each year while downsizing increases their workload. Then they get their new 25 year old diversity hire boss one day who hates them because they are middle aged and white.
So age 52 is middle-aged, and age 54 is middle-aged, but age 53 is not?
Wow you have been through a lot of medical issues at 46. May you have complete recover and many more years. Never understood those claims that if you made it to a certain younger age that you will probably live to a much older age. Like I’m 59 so I’m expected to live to 85 or more? Who knows except God and there are no guarantees.
FR had this discussion 10 years ago where I pointed out that in hospitals the aging baby boomers were dying fast, that when someone hits the ED they are dead within hours with little that can be done to save them. Their arteries were like tissue paper from extremely bad diets. Some boomers hated that I said that. Well, here it is again.
I knew a guy not too long ago that got wiped out in family court, lost his kids, then came to work drunk, then fired, then just let himself go - about 45 years old at the time.
Be interesting to see a study done of middle-aged white men that married someone OTHER than an American-born woman...they seem much happier.

People are dying at alarming rates because they have no foundation they are empty vessels searching to fill there voided life with anything other than: the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ!
Try finding a job as a 50+ white male....I can’t even get a call back, let alone an interview.
Actually, it is harder on a person repressing that rage.
