People in that age range who actually have a career (since many have been displaced by those up-and-coming diversity hires who are 10 years younger) don’t have “time” to get sick. So, they work through the pain, skip the vacations, work the overtime, and then die from the undetected cancer or the heart disease that they wanted to do something about but never had the time.

Add that to the fact that they are expected to care about the company like they own it and they need to work like a 25 year old yet their income declines each year while downsizing increases their workload. Then they get their new 25 year old diversity hire boss one day who hates them because they are middle aged and white.

Vacation? Oh ya, I remember now. That was something I last did in 2007. Scheduling the next one in April 2016. Didn't want to wait the normal ten years.
