Obviously it's BS, but IMO it means that someone reported us falsely in an attempt to drive traffic away. Anything we can do about it?
Never mind I found the snipping tool.
Yup. Even searching for other terms gives that same alert, e.g.,
https://www.google.com/search?q=site:freerepublic.com+israel
A few days ago I was getting warnings about ATTACK SITES from links on FR.
It only happened with links that had a caret ^ in them.
Use Bing. Even though "I googled" looks much better than "I binged."
Posting slightly conservative stuff to Facebook is also getting the censors back hair up.
No. Google is the modern incarnation of the ministry of propaganda. They were instrumental in targeting get out the vote drives for Obama's last election. They routinely filter results to push their viewpoints.
They are in a word, an "enemy."
Google is currently (in my opinion) the most evil corporation in the world. Before this is over, they will rival Krupp industries (Heavy equipment suppliers to the Nazis) for the most destructive corporation.
Looks like the warning only shows up if you search using “site:freerepublic.com” + anything else.
The original post used the example of site:freerepublic.com+ “Thailand”.
If you change Thailand to NASA you still get the warnings.
If you simply google the terms freerepublic and Thailand you will get the same links in the results but with NO warnings. The same applies to freerepublic and NASA.
The warnings ONLY show up when using the site:freerepublic.com search parameter.
At least that’s how I am experiencing it.
yeah, i reported this to the mods a few days ago.
I switched to DuckDuckGo.
seems to happen when searching using site:freerepublic.com
most likely due to do deliberate fraudulent complaints to google
“It DOES harm your computer. Over the years, Ive ruined eight keyboards and three screens because of FR.”
Yeah, but it’s really your fault for drinking coffee at the same time as perusing FR.
No issue here.
Good. It’ll keep the Dimowits at bay.
Google is very anti-FR... I started using google chrome awhile back. When you click to open a new tab, there is 8 thumbnails for frequently visited sites shown on that page for quick access. Even though I go to FR more than once a day usually, there are 3 of them up I have not been to for a month or more and FR never will show up there.
alt+Print Screen captures the active window. You can then paste it into Paint and save it as an image.
Plots already way to thick
Perhaps,but then??????
Got a SLR camera?
Need good one outside of a phone
Not necessarily. If someone posted an image that goes to a bad site FR takes the hit.
included in the warning that chrome displayed on Sunday ...was the information that free republic had been notified of this issue
I haven’t seen the warning since Sunday
