Faceoff: Trump rips media as pundits insist he’s in decline (actually not a bad article)
Fox News (I know, but it's a reasonable article) ^ | September 25, 2015 | Howard Kurtz

Posted on 09/25/2015 3:58:36 AM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network

I woke up early yesterday, flipped on the TV, and saw that Donald Trump was calling into MSNBC.

When he wrapped up 20 minutes later, I surfed over to CNN and Trump called in for a half-hour conversation.

Trump is still driving this campaign, even as the pundits are arguing that one of the wheels has come off his vehicle—many of the same commentators, of course, who have been predicting his imminent implosion for months. Maybe one of these days they’ll be right.

“Trump Momentum Shows Signs of Stalling,” declares Politico, adding that “rivals were taking heart that maybe, just maybe, the air has begun to seep out of the Trump balloon.” Quoted: an unnamed “strategist at a rival campaign.”

ABC’s The Note: “The frontrunner looks vulnerable -- and, perhaps oddly, it's not his policy positions or political history that matter in this equation. It's his very Trump-ness that has him now in this position, with rival campaigns seeing signs that its novelty is wearing off.”

New York Times: Donald J. Trump was never exactly a happy warrior, but with some of his Republican rivals gaining on him, he is showing clear signs of discontent.

Washington Post: “Republican leaders who have watched Donald Trump’s summer surge with alarm now believe that his presidential candidacy has been contained and may begin to collapse.”

Oh wait, that one was from August.

(real more, and there's a video at the link)

This is a pretty good article, from Howard Kurtz.

But he's surrounded by Bushbots.

Fox you're way, way off in Bushland.

TV “news” is entertainment for SJW by SJW, but one that happens to snag way too many conservatives.

Trump, I think, is taking the same approach that Clinton took.

In his run-up to the presidency, the Clinton campaign responded to every negative comment, no matter how trivial. By doing so, the media quickly learned that to criticize Clinton was to invite return fire, so they quickly stopped.

As a result, Clinton was later praised as a savvy campaigner. Trump, of course, is being characterized as thin-skinned.

Zactly. As it should be. Every criticism is an opportunity to respond with a positive return volley.

I am not sure a panel discussion on emasculation occurred in 1992 for Bubba’s first go round. All there was then was the ancient three networks and CNN. And very few people had internet. A much narrower field of news outlets.

Your right. The media are like a pack of dogs. Whack the alpha dog on the nose and they'll back off. Fail to handle them and they'll rip you to shreds.

Exposure is a must for political candidates, overexposure can be devastating and I believe the media is using that tactic by giving him all the air time he wants and more.

Although I believe Trump is sincere about his major talking points and plans the viewers begin to get bored hearing the same message over and over again.

His admirers and supporters eyes will begin to glaze over during his speeches unless he changes up his delivery and some of his talking points.

Using Twitter to fight back can only last just so long.

I completely disagree.

Trump is so unique, and he is saying exactly what so many Americans believe.

He is saying we need to re-build our own nation.

He is the first person in an entire generation, to say that.

Well, I certainly hope this isn’t true.
Trump can’t be in decline until after March. We still need him to defeat Bush and Rubio in Florida ;- )

Here’s what I think we will begin to hear ad nauseam, can we have have such a thin skinned man who is so quick tempered with his finger on the nuclear trigger. I believe it has already been mentioned but now look out below.

Granted I don’t want to see Trump as president, but not for that reason at all, I do think the man is very shallow in the ethics department, something I think is an extremely important high priority indispensable leadership trait.

I fully expect many to disagree with my assessment, and provide some sort of rebuttal, so be it, that is what we do here.

Otherwise I am content to let this horse run full out unabated until he drops.

CRUZ 2016!

The wildcard is this: How much anger has built up among the American people?

Trump is riding the crest of that wave of anger, and I do not think that wave is in danger of collapsing any time soon.

I just watched the speech that he did today in D.C..

Trump has gotten pretty good on the stump with just a few notes.

The thing I see Trump doing is talking about issues the rest of the field don't even mention. For instance in today's speech he talked about Education and giving it back to local control and condemned Common Core. Another was the 4 hostages Iran still have in custody. Obama, Kerry and the rest have left those people to rot in Iran and made no effort to get them freed as part of the Nuclear deal. Not one person is talking about those people other than Trump. He is committed to getting the freed. Where is the rest of out Politicians and Government officials on this? Trump has an ability to connect with his audience and it shows. The guy seems to be a natural.
