After his splashy announcement Tuesday that he's running for the Republican presidential nomination, billionaire businessman Donald Trump made another bold declaration: Oprah Winfrey would be a "great" running mate.
"I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah," Trump told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "I think we'd win easily, actually."

I’m glad Trump said this (1) years ago, and (2) in jest — probably. Otherwise, we might have to deal with an Oprah-and-Gayle issue similar to the Hillary-and-Huma issue.
Some of you are so danged gullible that it’s hilarious. Trump was joking then just as he was joking about making Kanye West his VP and Gary Busey for a Supreme Court Justice. Lighten up Francis. I can’t believe the OP and some on here believe this. I guess this is supposed to be a hit piece. It’s par for the course for the OP.
If I read the article correctly, and it wasn’t well-written, Trump said this in June.
I am rather tired, though, and I don’t do my best thinking when tired.
I take that back. I think that this statement by Trump was made in 1999, but at the moment, my brain is functioning at the level of a zombie’s.
Hey Fish, there’s sure tons of anti-Trump articles out there. So much hate. ... It’s like shooting fishes in a barrel.
Do you crave brains?
He may have just been buttering her up for some unknown mysterious reason 16 years ago.
The statement was first made in 1999, then brought up by George Stuffitupyerpuss this past June, and DT more or less repeated it in the mock style he frequently uses.
That’s what I thought happened, but then I reread it and thought that I had misunderstood. Regardless, I think that Trump often speaks in a droll style. It’s one of the qualities that I appreciate about him.
If he picks her, it’s his election to lose because you who will vote based on skin color alone anyways.
We lose again.....
Well, pretty much anyone could be a good Vice President. The VP has essentially no duties.
The main quality you want in a Vice President is the ability to be a good President, should that circumstance arise.

Maybe his agents were negotiating with her agents for a new reality show?
Just imagine the ratings for a prime-time joint Trump-Winfrey “apprentice” gig on NBC every Wednesday night for a full season!
It probably was something like that, or as he supposedly said himself, just a joke answer to a non-serious question.
“Generous of him to say that 3 months ago”
He did not say that three months ago. Since I don’t go on any other sites of this kind, I don’t know but it seems that this is the only place where this idiocy can be seen, perpetuated by idiots. Don’t bother responding to me, this is all I care to say on this idiocy.
No Orca Windbag
The establishment continues to flail about drunk with terror!
“Oprah would be a good V.P.” Funny, Obama said the same thing, and after Oprah spent $13million on a house in Georgetown, poof!! That idea evaporated....Ummm, no, Mr. Trump.
Raise your hand if you a total retard and think Trump ever seriously considered Oprah then or now as a VP. :-)
Perhaps the most political savvy statement he’s made which shows how credible he is.
” anti Trump maroons “ thanks for sharing
no really
