A front yard sign calling a neighbor a "douchebag" may not be the best way to change the neighbor's behavior.
But for one frustrated Farmers Branch family, it's at least getting a lot of attention.
James and Lisa Price -- who have a sign in their yard that says "'House for sale by owner because my neighbor's a douchebag" -- have appeared on Dallas TV and now say they're getting calls from New York news outlets.
The sign went up Aug. 7, after months of tension between the Prices and their nextdoor neighbors culminated in the Prices getting a $121 ticket from the city over their dogs, James Price said Friday.

I’m sure he’s just kidding. How would the realtor feel about his putting a sign up that scares away buyers?

There’s not going to be any sale. He’s just harassing his neighbor. ;-)
The other guy ought to up a sign that says
“House For Sale——My neighbor lets her dogs bark day and night”
Raffle it off. $100 per ticket. Heck, I’d buy one and I really don’t need another house.
My guess is that they are not really in interested in selling their house, it’s just a way of poking a stick in the eye of the neighbor. Might work on that level.
When my neighbor’s dog barked only when they were gone, he didn’t believe the dog barked at all, and wouldn’t take any action.
So I sprayed the dog with a garden hose every time he barked. Shut him up in about 45 minutes, forever.
Owner was pissed. I didn’t care.
“All he had to do was come over (to talk to us), but he chose not to do that.”
They ALL say that. Until you go over and talk to them. That’s when they get nasty, start swearing, brandish a firearm, and tell you to “Get off my lawn”.
This is news? An idiot with four yappy dogs???
There’s no mention of a realtor in the article. The attention the owner is getting for the For Sale By Owner sign may actually increase the value of his home to a potential buyer.
A home next door to a retired couple who doesn’t like barking dogs is a positive selling point.
I think a more accurate sign would read: “House for sale by owner because I am a douchebag!”
It’s a fisbo... no realtor to worry about.

Talking doesn’t work with most people anymore. They are an ass to you when you try to talk to them even about small things.
