I have had that goat down to ZZ Top lengths before.
True mountain man style, but that makes me too hot in the summer. I have come to prefer a trim and maintained beard, at least in the summer.
I grew a long beard last year. Friend’s children would come up to me and ask “are you okay?”...”what’s with the long beard?”
Why all this obsession with hair? Just keep your own hair washed and free of lice. Anything else goes.

What I was thinking but didn’t post well is of your merging the whole she-bang, short in winter and shorter in summer.
(Wife said I looked a mite like a door-to-door encyclopedia salesman or a Fuller Brush man with just the stache and goatee. She loves me...Yeah yeah yeah!)

I already shave my head. I can only grow hair on the back and side. Besides, I’m a Ted Cruz fan.
Trump said that he would get new hair style IF he won presidency as he would be too usually to maintain current DO.
I know a Nabisco vendor who has a ZZ Top beard. I always tell him to be careful that someone doesn’t mistake him for the Alahu Akbar crowd. That he might end up with a bullet in him. I tell him this jokingly of course.
A long beard definitely draws a lot of attention. Especially from kids. My nephews were fascinated with it.
But it also takes a lot of work to keep it in order and to keep it clean, so that was just too much trouble.
One of the reasons I like 1/8” hair on my head is that it requires little to no management and microscopic amounts of shampoo.
No big deal, I do my own #1 haircuts, going to 0 will not change much. That said, its a stupid idea and if Trump does it it will be the first act of his, that I know of,that I will truly call clownish.
Besides Trump won’t be Trump without his characteristic hairstyle.
Stop sniffing the dippity do.
