This is a dumb question but I always try to picture how other Freepers are at the moment they are posting.
So just out of curiosity, how and where are you commenting on FreeRepublic.com?
Are you you in a dark basement by yourself? In a shopping mall, waiting for your wife? Half watching some program on TV while you Freep?
Nothing special for me. I'm sitting outside in a perfect Minnesota summer evening with a beer in hand and my two dogs next to me.

I’m at home on my PC. Just got back from a Torah study class after a day indoors because of the beastly heat wave. Love to Freep either here or at work, in spite of all my work — ton of fundraising letters to write & a library newsletter.
I’m eating pizza, in my underwear, next to “Peggy” from customer service and she is awesome at serving me beers, when my glass gets empty...
In our family room, using my new Acer Chromebook 15, on my lap, using wifi, watching tv reruns waiting for 9 pm and a new Masterpiece show.
My wife is doing the Sunday Crossword puzzle, and we are discussing our day and yesterday.
Warm in wino country.
Hi of 97 this afternoon and still 82, 12 plus degrees versus same time last night.

I am dead hooked on that show. I know it’s acting but those Sailors make me proud every week. They have repeatedly put their shipmates, and the welfare of humanity above their own needs. There has to be at least 1 Conservative writer on that show.

Sometimes on a tablet in the family room while Mrs. henkster watches TV. Right now on the computer in the home office.
In our “cats room” (this is where we banish the cats when we have company - aka the junk room!) working on an actual PC with an actual keyboard. Two of our cats snuggled up to my feet, husband & kinder in the other room watching Marx Brothers movie. It’s good. ;o)

We were just down in the Jackson area a couple of weeks ago for the first time in about 20 years. We were stunned by the number of wineries on Shenandoah Valley Road. Beautiful drive. Didn't get a chance to stop at any wineries. Maybe next time.

I’m sitting on my couch at 8:43 wearing a long blue dress, barefoot, and it’s a freakish dark and stormy night in July at the beach near L.A. (Which has never happened my whole life). The patio door is open because we don’t have a/c and it’s humid, which is quite unusual. Next to me is a fairly naked three year old with shoes on (we are potty training). And we both have our iPads. I’m FReeping and she is watching a toy opening video.
Ouch! That bug-in-the-eye must really hurt!
I read about the possible malaria...and I hope it’s not. It’s a recurring thing that you never really can get completely rid of. Take care of you!!...and enjoy FReeping and stuff! :)
