Adobe Flash, the much-loathed, bug-plagued relic of a browser plugin, just got a big nail driven into its coffin.
Mozilla blocked Flash by default in its Firefox browser late Monday night, a day after Facebook's (FB, Tech30) security chief called for Adobe to kill Flash once and for all.

Anybody else experiencing this?
I'm ready to call IT support in the morning to get this over with.
I just went to Adobe’s web site and updated my Flash version. Haven’t seen the annoying Firefox messages anymore.
I’ve had flash turned “off” for quite some time.
Very few sites really need it.
Youtube is one, unfortunately.
Same here
Oh, sorry, running IE on both home and work computers.
Fake Adobe update will encrypt your data files. Hostage for ransom.
CNN: Late to the party, as usual.
Actually, it appears to be the real deal.

I’ve had Adobe Flash shut off by Fire Fox for several weeks. now. It says it is a security threat. What Firefox plug-in/add on do you use for viewing Youtube?
You can configure YouTube to only use Flash as a last resort
Flash is dead, and YouTube dealt the killing blow http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jan/30/flash-youtube-nostalgia
Check out this link. The html5 switch isn’t a permanent change - you can revert if needed. I’ve been using it for a bout a week now with fewer flash crashes (there are some you-toob videos that still use flash).

From time to time I'll get pop-up windows telling me to install Flash when I visit a site, but close them out. Even when I get a notice that there's a new update to it, I close them out, then go to my Apple System Preferences, and click on Flash from there. I can check to see if any updates are available, and do them from there.
Be very careful about updating it.
I just turn on flash with YT, and off elsewhere.
I’m sure there are more sophisticated ways to do it.
Waiting for an expert to weigh in.
I sprained my right index finger on the NO button today.
I know there is a community of techies here, I just don’t remember who to ping.
My Firefox has been locking up for the past two weeks. I have to keep my activity monitor up (Apple OS X) in order to crash flash and get things moving.
