This week, Google released a research paper chronicling one of its latest forays into artificial intelligence.
Researchers at the company programmed an advanced type of chatbot that learns how to respond in conversations based on examples from a training set of dialogue.
And the bot doesnt just answer by spitting out canned answers in response to certain words; it can form new answers from new questions.
This means Google's researchers could get a little creative with it, and they certainly did they asked the bot everything from boring IT questions to inquiries about the meaning of life.
The responses were alternately impressive, amusing, and unnerving.

Sounds interesting, if not ominous. You can laugh if you want to, but I honestly think certain human beings have already had much of their essential humaness extracted from certain parts of the brain, therapeutic (though unrequested) lobotomies, if you will. The cranial voids now created are then supplanted with artificial software that results in ethic defaults that ‘are more inclined to facilitate and expedite smooth productivity’ vs the stop and go flows of energy that individual questioning tends to create.
Well, what does it know.
The purpose of life, i.e. man’s chief end, is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
Machine: To serve the greater good.
Human: What is immoral?
Machine: The fact that you have a child.

Lee, Freepers wish only the best for one another, so it is with friendly concern for your well-being that I say, your post was weird in a way that makes me think you need to visit your doctor and have a check up to make sure your brain is functioning properly. Your beliefs seem strongly out of touch with reality and the realm of possibility.
Thanks for your concern. However, what you were reading was an impromptu example of my creative writing. I was playing up the sci-fi elements of a prior conversation.
