Amazon.com is making a HUGE mistake with their recent banning of sales of the Confederate flag. Not only is this a marketing blunder, they've got a LONG way to go if they're going to start banning offensive items. Amazon, are you ready to REALLY impact your future sales? You've got a LOT of work to do now that you've opened Pandora's box. What about the book entitled 'The International Jew; The World's Foremost Problem'? This is offensive to Jews and should be banned! Why is Amazon worried about offending their black customers (Confederate flag ban) but not Jewish customers? What about communist flag merchandise or Che Guavara t-shirts and coffee mugs? He was a mass murderer!

Hey Amazon, YOU'VE GOT A LOT MORE BANNING TO DO IF YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT OFFENDING YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Freedom includes having the right to offend others. The communist flag offends me but I don't think it should be banned. Che Guevara was a mass murderer but Americans should be able to buy such merchandise if they so chose. That is their right and this is what makes America GREAT. How can we have a free society open to free debate if we start banning symbols?

Amazon, get your act together and reinstate sales of the Confederate flag. We understand that just because you sell it does not mean you condone it, just as sales of the Anti-Semite's (Henry Ford Sr.) book doesn't mean you agree with him. Amazon, sell as much as you can. That is fine with me. Stay above the political fray. KEEP POLITICS OUT OF YOUR BUSINESS because you might end up offending more people BECAUSE OF YOUR BANS than you offend with your on-line merchandise.

Amazon should avoid the slippery slope of product bans. WHERE DOES IT END, AMAZON? This is America! Amazon should AVOID politics and sell as many products as they can, including the offensive ones. This is a matter of principle and if I'm offended by a product, I'm willing to accept that in exchange for living in a FREE country!

Amazon, reinstate sales of the Confederate flag. Amazon.com is NOT a political website. KEEP IT THAT WAY.

Amazon ( and others) have REALLY stepped in it. This type of shirt with this saying , implies black lives matter more than others. The black power fist has always been an “in your face” sign of defiance and anger. They will have to stop selling a tenth of their offerings.

They’re not worried about offending their customers, they’re worried about staying ahead of the prevailing breeze. The fact is the Confederate flag has been the target of a lot of griping for a lot of years, doesn’t matter if the griping was in error, the prevailing attitude had turned against it. The only question was which straw was going to break the camel. Nobody really cares about anti-Jew screeds, they’re used to it, 5000 years of suffering and all that. They aren’t going to reinstate the flag, this fight got lost a long time ago, the only question was when people would realize it.

If we are going to ban the Confederate Flag as a symbol of slavery, then to be consistent, we have to ban the Stars and Stripes too.

It flew over slavery and slave transporting ships for much, much longer than any flag of the Confederacy. If the logic is that the flag flew over slave-owning lands, then the Stars and Stripes has to go, as well.

Heck, even the Ku Klux Klan flew the Stars and Stripes in their rallies...



If we go down that road, we will continue to be lopsided in our views, unaware of our own history.


So What's next? Are they going to take down the Flag of the United States too?

By capitulating because an evil nutjob like Dylann Roof slaughtered 9 innocent black Christians, aren’t folks like these providing incentive for the next nutjob to do something similar?

Not just that but anything someone decides is politically incorrect in the future. He probably knows that some are calling for the tearing down of monuments and statues, re-naming military bases, what about US 11 the Robert E. Lee Memorial Highway? Their pandering is not going to gain them any support it’s going to cost them, all this going on at a time when all the Republicans have to do to win the WH, Senate and House is to unify those who traditionally support them and they start by attacking Conservatives and then adopting democrat policies and spending us into oblivion and refusing to stand up to Obama and his illegal actions.

Amazon might be to angling to gain a key vote to avoid sales tax on the internet, or to avoid being forced into a labor union.
