Amazon, get your act together and reinstate sales of the Confederate flag. We understand that just because you sell it does not mean you condone it, just as sales of the Anti-Semite's (Henry Ford Sr.) book doesn't mean you agree with him. Amazon, sell as much as you can. That is fine with me. Stay above the political fray. KEEP POLITICS OUT OF YOUR BUSINESS because you might end up offending more people BECAUSE OF YOUR BANS than you offend with your on-line merchandise.
Amazon should avoid the slippery slope of product bans. WHERE DOES IT END, AMAZON? This is America! Amazon should AVOID politics and sell as many products as they can, including the offensive ones. This is a matter of principle and if I'm offended by a product, I'm willing to accept that in exchange for living in a FREE country!
Amazon, reinstate sales of the Confederate flag. Amazon.com is NOT a political website. KEEP IT THAT WAY.
Moderator, could you please add the second part of my article, to after the last line of the first part? Basically, merge the two sections together? Thank you!!
Not brewing, been going on for a long time.
They’re not worried about offending their customers, they’re worried about staying ahead of the prevailing breeze. The fact is the Confederate flag has been the target of a lot of griping for a lot of years, doesn’t matter if the griping was in error, the prevailing attitude had turned against it. The only question was which straw was going to break the camel. Nobody really cares about anti-Jew screeds, they’re used to it, 5000 years of suffering and all that. They aren’t going to reinstate the flag, this fight got lost a long time ago, the only question was when people would realize it.
Sounds like a book Mrs. Clinton would approve of.
Now they have to ban:
Communist Flag
Any faith items
any political items
any thing that outrages ME PERSONALLY
etc etc.
The news media used a single act by a single individual to take away our freedom of speech. If people dont see now that the media is the enemy and the problem I dont know when they will
“Amazon should avoid the slippery slope of product bans.”
Isn’t Amazon free to ban what it wishes? Are we not enterprising enough of a nation for entrepreneurs to pick-up the new customers that can result from a competing business that will allow the things that it bans?
Besides, isn’t it similar to the “I’m free to not bake a cake in honor of Sodomy” case?
This is going to backfire on all those idiots. Now Warner Bros. has banned the sale of “Dukes of Hazzard” merchandise with the Confederate Battle Flag.
Welcome to the leviathan state were politics are in every business and every action. Amazon might be to angling to gain a key vote to avoid sales tax on the internet, or to avoid being forced into a labor union. Amazon must be politically shrewd or risk being the next victim of the leviathan like Gibson Guitar or Bella Hardwoods. Hate the tyranny, not those trying to navigate within it.
Silly Jew.
If you want Amazon to ban something, just do this for example:
Write a manifesto. For most of these these are called blogs, but you are about to become special.
Take a firearm, legal of illegal, enter a catholic school and murder children and teachers, as many as you can.
Then everyone will read your blog and Amazon and others will comply with your censorship wishes.
Amazon and others have just placed a price on censorship.
Measured in blood.
Mistake? No. The challenge will be what to do with the Nazi and other stuff. Maybe create a corner for Confederate, Nazi, ISIS and other memorabilia.
They sell many offensive things. What about this:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=koran
It is clear that psychopath shot the wrong people!
The global corporate elite folks are assuming that southerners aren’t technically inclined enough to make their own flags and are putting the theory to the test.
Protocols of the Elders of Zion--a Czarist forgery describing a Jewish conspiracy
The Turner Diaries--a novel that calls for the extermination of all non-white people worldwide
The Clansman: An Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan--Thomas Dixon's tale of how the KKK rides to the rescue of whites repressed by blacks during Reconstruction
What outrageous censorship! Big business is trying to erase our history. Will they next ban the mention of names such as “Robert E. Lee,” etc.? This is Orwellian.
