Is it just me, or are others dealing with pop up ads that make it impossible to navigate the page? I thought this was the purpose of the quarterly fundraiser, to make these ads not necessary.
You’ve been infected with some kind of malware. You need to do a search and remove it, ASAP, because the longer it stays, the more it’s likely to spread.
Thanks all. I’m running anti spyware and anti virus now. I am logged in. I’m in a hotel, I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Am I logged in?
It isn’t Free Republic. You’re infected............
It’s unlikely that the hotel uses popups for all web-browsing but it may be possible.
Until you said you are at a Hotel, I was leaning toward what all the others had suggested, however, you could also be getting ads injected by the hotspot provider at the hotel.
It isn’t a nice thing to do, but it can be done. Also, using open wifi, you subject yourself to other malicious activity, not just from the provider you think you are hooked too.
Are you?
What protections and security software are you running, as you use wifi in a hotel?
Are you?
I can’t tell
this is the easiest and fastest site to download. plus I’m ready to throw up because there are transgender freak on America’s got talent. it never ends and everyone applauds these freaks. it’s not normal!!!
Saw a preview of the next episode of “The Briefcase” on SeeBS.
It would appear that one of the “couples” are female homosexuals.
What browser are you using, and what sort of popup ads are they?
I dealt with a new issue with Chrome over the last two weeks involving extensions & scumware. Solved it, but it's pretty new in the wild, methinks.
FR as no pop-ups.
If you are getting pop-ups, it is because some other website or software is intiating them.
You probably need to do some computer maintenance: cleaning your registry, running virus scan, running spyware scan, etc.

What are the contents in the pop-ups? That could help in isolating how and where they are originating.
I use ESET and superantispyware, run them regularly, and never had a problem. Would it be the general consensus that anti malwarebytes is a better program?
my GF watches that crap. I used to work in the evenings. cant wait to again. nighttime TV is disgusting and worthless. I’ll be passing on the briefcase. thanks for the warning.
unfortunately I didn’t write down what the ads were but they seemed mainstream. They did prohibit me from clicking on any links or otherwise navigating. I had to reload the page several times to log in and post before the ads (banner style with 2 vertical ads) popped up again.
No assumption, thus the question “is it just me?”
