At a reception at the State Department that marked the U.S. taking over the chairmanship of the Arctic Council, Secretary of State John Kerry said that if Benjamin Franklin lived today and was nominated for office he would never be confirmed. [ ]
(T)here is, of course, a second connection between Franklin and this reception, Kerry said. And that is that he liked to have a really good time, folks. And he didnt spare the booze, and while he was in Paris he led a life that clearly meant that had he lived today and been nominated, he would never have been confirmed for office. (Laughter.) Anyway, it just goes to show how the times change.

Franklin was a genius and a patriot. Kerry is a dolt and a traitor. So they have very little in common. The only areas Kerry may excel BF are windsurfing and speaking French (BF thought he knew French but it seems the French were sometimes unsure what he was saying).
He needs to crawl back into his blue bunny suit.
Ben Franklin was very frugal and believed in fiscal conservatism.
Franklin would be wasted on today’s America.
Think you mis-spoke, “disbarred for lying about his adultery”??
Words have meaning, it’s called PERJURY. Couple that with his abuse of office for trying to keep his affairs out of the courtroom/public. IMHO, losing his license was just a slap on the wrist (what would YOU or I have gotten for the same?).
Ol’ Kerry seems like he’s taken a dislike of Franklin because he acted like a MAN...
Conversely, Kerry wouldn’t be confirmed to any office in the 1780’s.
