None of the remaining eight female candidates going through the Army Ranger School made it out of the first phase of training at Fort Benning, Ga., defense officials told Fox News -- though they scored high enough to try again as early as next week.
The candidates were the first women to train for the elite force as part of a program that began in February.
While they did not do well enough to move on to the next phase of training, an Army Ranger statement said the eight women -- along with 101 men in the same situation -- will be "recycled," meaning they can re-do the training phase in an upcoming Ranger School session.
A total of 60 women were originally slated to participate in Ranger Assessment Phase (RAP), according to the Pentagon in January. The Army Times reported in February that 100 women went into the pre-training phase, and in April, 19 women qualified for the first training phase, known as Darby. Within days, that number was down to eight.

If they didn’t care, they wouldn’t send females to the school.
There is a reason for this and it isn’t that they think the Ranger Tab looks stylish.
What are they after?
This is a terrible joke on the Army. Appeasing women at the expense of combat readiness and morale sucks to high heaven.
When a person barely passes a test and is not physically able to move after doing so-you damn sure do not want that person near you when real bullets fly.
I’ve NEVER claimed, in any of my posts, that I was not an idiot :)
I was also a tad crazy then. Wouldn’t do it now at 46. I don’t think :)
Progressives regard the military as a laboratory for their social experiments. They regard the real role of the military’s to be illegitimate.
Camp Merrill was indeed tough. The blueberry pancakes were the best part. Did not care for the cabins or Mount Yonah and the steep slopes. Loved the seven second DZ with eight jumpers out of a UH-1H. What I winder is how a woman’s physiology is going to deal with many days with rank swamp water and poor hygiene during jungle phase at Eglin. I remember morning feet checks at RI changeover. I wonder if they’ll have special care for the ladies.
Regards.
Power, pure and simple. Of course, power over the military gives them the opportunity to destroy the military just as they have done with public schools, higher education, police, black families, American manufacturing, the law, medicine, and religion. Did I leave anything out?
a BOING MATCH

TMI? :)
Yep
:)
The Corps does not like to lower standards. The Marines are the only service that does not train men and women together in boot camp.
Call me sexist, but thats the way it is.
**
You are not sexist — whatever that is. You are just noting the fact that men and women are not interchangeable, which is just a fact of biology.
Shhh! Don’t give them any ideas!
lol
What are they after?

Destruction of the warrior culture. Making the military weak so that they cannot defend our country.
The standards absolutely should not be dropped, and it seems like someone in leadership is doing the right thing by keeping standards the same.
That said, I think it is important to give women who really want it the opportunity to strive to be worthy of a ranger tab: I believe there probably are one or two women with the grit, drive, and sufficient physical strength to earn the tab.... God bless each one of them for trying, both the men and the women, and thank God we live in a culture that respects women enough to let them try.
Why go to Ranger School to ruin the country?
Just marry a Governor from Arkansas.
This game has only just begun. Look for moves and countermoves.
