Tom Brady will be the highest profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.
Roger Goodell's decision is expected to be announced next week and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.
In conversations I've had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Avenue, there is little doubt Goodell considers Brady's role in DeflateGate a serious violation.
The NFL is convinced, according to sources, that connecting all the dots of the evidence supplied by Wells leads to one conclusion:
Brady cheated.

I stand corrected. I thought Hornung & Alex Karras were suspended in 1964, but it was rescinded. I was only two at the time. But that is no excuse. For my punishment, I will watch the DVD, "Bill Belichick! Live At The Improv!"
How many years did you play in the NFL or football at any level?
Hall of Fame wide receiver Chris Carter and others have explained at length the advantage gained by having under inflated footballs. Players know it is a big deal. It's like doctor a baseball.
Of course, you'd say that when Brady's reaction to this was deemed similar to Hillary's when she tried to explain why she used a private email server to conduct state department business.
This is the sort of thing used by the FBI to determine whether suspects are being truthful.
But, you're either a Patriot or Brady groupie.
If under inflated balls are such a great advantage why does Aaron Rodgers like them over inflated? Andrew Luck likes them on the high side of legal. If it was really an advantage everybody would be gaming the system in the same way. They don’t, so clearly it isn’t. All the evidence out there is that it’s one of those preferences without a difference.
I'd imagine an ISIS member would be more interested in using the ball inflating machine as a sexual toy.
Just guessing -- because he has big hands so it doesn't effect his grip and over inflating makes the ball harder and, thus, more difficult to intercept.
Not cooperating with an investigation implies one is guilty and has something to hide.
You can cry about all this all you want but Brady is going to be suspended.
If I hated Brady, I'd make the case deflating balls should negatively effect his legacy. But, I don't think it should.
Have you ever played football? Or in the NFL/
You're know-nothing windbag whose opinion contradicts players that have played the game.
If it was more difficult to intercept it would also be more difficult to recept, and his stats don’t seem to show his receivers have a problem. Again, all the evidence indicates it’s nothing more than personal preference with no actual difference. Some people like loud keyboard, some like quiet, some like clutches that engage high, some like low, some QBs like overinflated balls, some under. Doesn’t matter what Chris Carter, a receiver who played his entire career with factory default balls provided by the league, says. The facts speak for themselves. And the facts say if there was a verifiable performance difference in one direction everybody would be doing it, they aren’t, so there isn’t.
Oh look, appeal to authority and ad hominem. So now that we both know you have no confidence in your facts or logic then you’ll admit you’re wrong.
Dude, what makes you think I am crying about Brady?
I am concerned about people having action taken against them with no supporting evidence in general.
And not cooperating with an investigation that is trying to run you over implies intelligence, not guilt.
And as I said, by choosing to not turn over his phone, he will have to face the consequence of that from his employer. That’s his choice. I wouldn’t have turned over my phone either. Why would anyone want people going through their phone?
And if you think you can make a case that ball pressure should negatively affect his legacy, you knock yourself out, snowflake, personally, I don’t care.
Brady isn’t seeking power over me, is he?
And no I am a Saints fan, as I have clearly said. I don’t care about the Patriots or Brady specifically.
You strike me as a bit of a lunatic to be perfectly honest.
Brady is a public figure. It’s almost impossible. He’d have to have documents clearly stating that this was done through malice, and get through the arbitration language of his contract to even have a shot.
The text messages were from a time in *October* when the refs apparently gave Brady balls for play during the Jets game that they’d pumped up to nearly 16 PSI, and Brady was pissed and ranted at the game officials and the equipment staff. McNally was pissed at being the end of the chain when the fuss rolled down hill. Applying that to the Colts game certainly sounds damning, but is it reasonable?
Belichick and the coaching staff were explicitly exonerated. Why would you want him suspended?
That was only part of what the texts were about.
IMO Brady is guilty—I thought that as soon as he sounded so ridiculous in his presser before the SB.
For the standard the NFL has, yeah, I think there’s enough there, considering that the “Deflator” is the one who locked himself into a restroom with balls when they suddenly lost pressure.
Personally, however, I’d like to have it more cut and dried to go publicly pulling down a guy’s reputation like that.
You're too dense to acknowledge the fact there was an investigation that concluded there was evidence against him. Balls were deflated. Text messages confirm they were deflated intentionally.
Only someone with the IQ of turnip would claim someone withholding evidence isn't hiding something incriminating. It's not rational claim.
And, you're as willing blind as those defending Hillary.
Pssst....There is a reason why he is going to be suspended. But, you refuse to acknowledge it.
He should be suspended for the smirk. One set of rules for the beautiful people another for the hoi polloi.
You can post whatever you want. Only a mooron thinks Brady had no knowledge of the deflationgate.
