Tom Brady will be the highest profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.
Roger Goodell's decision is expected to be announced next week and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.
In conversations I've had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Avenue, there is little doubt Goodell considers Brady's role in DeflateGate a serious violation.
The NFL is convinced, according to sources, that connecting all the dots of the evidence supplied by Wells leads to one conclusion:
Brady cheated.

Goodell is ruining the NFL.
If I was Brady, I would more probably than not sue the living sh!t out of Goodell.
I think this is a publicity-driven item.
But, it is what it is... what’s the over-under on how many games? My bet is two.
If Brady deliberately cheated then what do you think should happen to him?
I watched a news article talking about this story. In the background was the playoff game where the “offense” occurred. The video showed the line judge picking up the ball and throwing it underhanded to the sideline. If the ball was deflated, wouldn’t the game official have noticed if it was such a big deal? Can’t they grip the ball and tell if it’s soft?
The judge would immediately throw it out. The CBS gives Goodell the power to suspend players.
Is that what the investigation proved?
For no reason?
He can just suspend them at will?
If I was Brady, I would more probably than not sue the living sh!t out of Goodell.
...
He should, but I doubt contractual agreements will allow him.
The couple of weeks off and seasoning/testing of Garappolo will probably help the team.
And yeah, I thought Brady was up to his hair plugs in it from the second he gave that loopy press conference before the SB.
I think that's what they concluded. I don't know who they have to prove it to.
It was proved up to the standard of the rules in the NFL—which is, “more likely than not”.
But yeah, the text messages and all of that have guilty all over them.
Someone needs to build a squeeze da ball machine.. Or robot.. Or sumthin.. A commish paid a gazillion dollars forget to bulletproof the business.. And now . welllll..
Whatever they concluded, they concluded “more probably than not”.
Which to me means they have no conclusion at all.
To see him laughing and smirking when asked about it bothered me more than having to watch him hoist the Super Bowl trophy.
And that bothered me a lot.
Personal conduct policy says you can be suspended for behavior detrimental to the image of the league, its teams or its players. Basically it outlaws generating bad press. Most of the players suspended under it were for legal troubles that never resulted in charges much less guilty verdicts.
Yes. After all, NFL Football is the most important religion now worshiped in the Western World.
