Is this the face of Jesus as a boy? Italian police reverse the ageing process on image taken from the Turin Shroud to create photo-fit of Christ as a young child
This is the face of Jesus Christ as a child according to Italian police.
Detectives used computer forensic techniques that have helped to catch mafia bosses to generate the image.
First, they created a photo-fit picture from the facial image in the Turin Shroud, which many believe to be that of Jesus. They then used a computer program to reverse the ageing process by reducing the jaw size, slimming the face and softening the eyes to arrive at the younger Christ.
Italian police use the same digital techniques, but in reverse, to create updated photo-fit images of fugitive mafia bosses whose faces have not been seen for years.

first you have to prove there was a Jesus Christ
No I don’t.
I can see the resemblance to the picture done by the child prodigy, Akiane.

Thanks, there’s a list for the Shroud, Swordmaker has it I believe, otherwise I rarely ping these topics. I did comb the keywords the other day, and I think I posted a really big list of FRchival topics. :’)
An antiquities dealer, who looked like an antiquity himself, was a little low on inventory when I stopped in. Sensing my eagerness to leave, he said, “one moment”, went through a curtained doorway into the even darker rear room of the shop, and about a minute later emerged with an old wooden box filled with packing. Reaching into the packing he produced an obviously old human skull.
“This is the skull of Julius Caesar. I’m asking a mere $500.”
“Well, I hate to say it, but I’m not interested. Do you have anything else in the back?”
With a shrug he replaced the skull, held up a finger to indicate I should wait, and vanished into the rear room again. A few minutes went by. Finally he emerged with another box, burrowed his hand into the packing, and produced another obviously old skull, smaller than the first.
“This is the skull of Julius Caesar as a boy. $400.”
Reminds me of when the scientists first fed the image from the Shroud of Turin through a NASA terrain analyzer in the mid-70s.
If you want on or off the Shroud of Turin Ping List, Freepmail me.
I challenge the members of the Shroud of Turin ping list to each donate at least $10 each to the latest Freepathon. I HAVE donated $100 due to my involvement on the Apple Ping List. Many members of the Apple Ping list are already rising to the challenge. Join them. Let's show the power of the Shroud Ping list in supporting Freerepublic!
One of the letters linked in post 32 addresses the hair color, and that it may have been darker but appeared blond due to sun-bleaching. I have several friends who were blond as children and whose hair turned almost black as adults, but it bleaches blond after a summer of water sports, etc. Surely the Mediterranean sun would have been strong.
Also, if you have seen any photos of the Yazidi captives of ISIS, many of them are blond and blue-eyed, although they are middle-eastern. Many ancient Greeks and some Italians, such as the Abruzzese, also have blue eyes and blond or golden-reddish hair.
In the morning, when I rise...
Very neat.
Picture didn’t transmit. Could you post it again, please?
I will have to do more research, but it does help answer the question of why Jesus is often depicted as blue-eyed and fair haired in art.
