It’s faith regardless how he stacks it.
Oh, he cares all right. Maybe the author of this piece thinks he’s neutral, but you MUST make a choice, one way or the other. There is no such thing as idling your engine when it comes to the big questions about our origins.
What about the garden variety atheists who is loudly Christianphobic? This order of atheists makes it their mission to ‘get offended and threatening to sue in order to stop others from publicly celebrating or even sharing their christian faith. He didn’t talk much about them. I don’t care how ‘angry’ they are if it’s a private affair.
Looking at the comments at the source, clearly the atheists care, and are angry and militant atheists.
And I don’t know we should care.
The author confuses atheism with agnosticism.
Agnosticism is a lack of faith — like being born without legs.
Atheism is a denial of God’s existence — which is a belief requiring faith.
The Scriptures simply say they have been blinded...and the result is that they really do not care...yet.
Their hearts have grown cold.
You neglected to include “barf alert” in the title. It is needed.
Which atheist books are the best-sellers? Dawkins and Sam Harris, who are so spittingly vituperative that they have made clowns of themselves. Then again, maybe their book sales come from people like me who read them for comedic entertainment.
That clown is the reason CFRB lost its decades-long hold as the #1 radio station here.
If they “didn’t care,” they wouldn’t be attacking Christians on Facebook. They “care” in only that they gain some weird satisfaction from their merciless, unmitigated trolling.
Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty) has also a few words for the militant atheist.
Thank you for posting this article. It describes me to a “T”.
He’s right. That’s how I landed on atheism, it was more of a realization than a decision. I would join something, be hot on it for a couple months and then drift away, then a few years later I’d decide to try again, lather rinse repeat. Then I really looked at it and realized I’m just not that guy, I was most at peace when I’d drifted away, so that’s where I stayed. As long as other people’s religions aren’t interfering in my life I don’t care, if you’re happy with your religion good for you, I’m happy having nothing to do with it.
To be religious requires faith. To assert the null hypothesis of a true atheist requires much more faith. The rational position of those without faith is agnosticism.
Most atheists if faced with the illogic of asserting that absence of evidence is evidence of absence will accept agnosticism, an open but doubting mind, instead of their faith.
He's filled it with himself.
It reminds me of the atheist in the Monty Python skit who was surprised by something and he says,” Oh my lack of God!”
Atheist = Narcissist.
