An Honest Question, regarding my ongoing debate with a Family Member. (vanity)

At the end of the day, the debate comes down to "how committed" are those that claim to stand for Liberty and our Constitution.

"Even Goldman is smart enough to recognize how far they can go."

They can go as far as they can spend without violating any laws or incurring any risk. They can use lobbyists that either work directly for them or indirectly through supposedly unbiased think tanks to write up talking points for the candidates they prefer and the MSM shills who support those candidates.

I'm not assuming some worldwide, hundreds of years old conspiracy like the Illuminati. I'm just suggesting that since Goldman Sachs has a lot of skin in the game they will do their darnedest to make sure that they come out on top financially regardless of how it affects the American people.

With large multinational corporations having such a huge monetary voice in US elections we can expect that over time our laws will become more-and-more federalized and globalized. With states becoming less-and-less important, the individual voices of the urban masses will overwhelm the comparatively smaller mass of voices from suburbia and rural America. We will get Obama's vision of America with or without him thanks to the likes of Goldman Sachs and their globaloney buddies.

Honestly I wouldn't put it past him to try to stay in office but IMO he's also angling for his next job, SecGen of the UN or maybe Caliph of whatever caliphate ISIS can stand up. I'm not kidding.

If he tries to stay in office here (in the US, that is) past January 20th, 2017, he won't succeed at it.

He WILL be leaving. Let the discerning reader understand, and not infer any meaning that isn't intended...

"That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

“What’s So Funny ‘Bout Peace Love & Understanding”

The irony bleeds into reality.

“As I walk on through this wicked world,
Searching for light in the darkness of insanity,
I ask myself, Is all hope lost?
Is there only pain, and hatred, and misery?

And each time I feel like this inside,
There’s one thing I wanna know,
What’s so funny ‘bout peace, love, and understanding?,
What’s so funny ‘bout peace, love, and understanding?”

It seems that many things come full circle for those that are paying attention.

They do, and we do what we do because we can.

Obama can run for anything he wants, but electors must be verified at the state level, and then, the results of the election have to be certified by the House of Representatives. Then the Chief Justice has to swear in the president. Lots of safeguards.

Obama running for a third term is just a doomsday fantasy that sprung up on the internet, but has no roots in reality. Aint gonna happen.

That is the one of many points I addressed.

He, and as it seems, is not alone in thinking that 0bama will just simply ignore the constitution and press forward.

I can’t imagine that this scenario would come to be, however, my Step Father’s contention is that there is nothing to stop him.

This is the debate.

The same ones that stopped obamacare dead in its tracks. The same ones that forced him to secure the border between U.S. and Mexico to the point that not even an atom can get through. The same ones that stopped his cronies from taking control of the internet. These are who will stop him dead in his tracks.

After 8 years the people are generally pretty sick of the sitting president. His numbers are crap if he ran he’d get crushed even if he wasn’t blatantly breaking the law. He’d probably lose in the primaries, it would actually be kind of funny.

I agree, but who will stop him?

The 0bama Zombies are done, and have moved on to either Hillary or Warren.

But this meme continues.

The mushy middle. They’re the ones that decide elections. They’re the ones that are why midterms go so badly for the party of the sitting president. They’re the ones why so few sitting VPs have won. They’re why the White House changes parties so regularly. The real power in this country is held by the mush middle, sadly their biggest belief is the people in charge suck, which while often correct doesn’t create much of a legislative agenda.

Me? Nothing. Because it’s not going to happen. He’s not going to run. People like to obsess on very bad, very stupid paranoid fantasies. 16 years ago there was similar foolishness about Clinton. And what happened, yeah, he didn’t run. Nor did he declare martial law. So really, stop worrying about it, there are much more interesting things to spend the next two years on.

I’m not sure which theory was proposed more often on FR back in the late 90s...that BJ wouldn’t leave office or that BJ and Hill would divorce soon after leaving office...but those posts were very common.

Hi, I replied earlier that the electoral college and the Senate would stop it. I thought it was only the Senate that has to certify the electoral votes, but after doing some research I found that it was both the House and Senate, Congress, that certifies the electoral votes.

When you consider the legal obstacles along with the fact that Obama doesn’t like to work, only campaign, there is no way a third term is in the works. Unless the wife or VJ show up as the savior.

Oh he will fix that, he’ll just write another EO to eliminate Sec’y of States and all voting for Presidential elections. There fixed.
