Just Thursday we had another snowstorm and its DLST 'lose an hour' already.
My weekends are short enough without this.
All you had to do this weekend is show up in Selma and smile and clap when Obama and John Lewis trash the GOP and America, we here have to work and need our weekends including this hour.
Not one of Ben’s better inventions.
I’ve heard that he proposed it as a joke, as he did with many things. I can believe it.
You just became an hour older!
I’ve never seen the problem with this—shifting our day to better align with sunrise. I figure, though, that the real underlying challenge is that we now need to figure out how to reset time on a lot of things. That, really, seems to be the big headache. Otherwise, what’s the big deal?
Gotta give back that hour you took without too much bitching last October. It’s simple quantum principle, conservation of time and energy; think of it as a loan of 60 minutes and the note is due.
God it is so stupid. Pick a time and stick with it fools!
An hour of my life is stolen from me, that's what.
I have to go to work an hour earlier, that's what.
You Marxists think you control everything in this universe, even time, the government is NOT God.
I assure you DST has nothing to do with God. Quite the opposite!
:)
Get rid of DST!!! That is no joke... I change my clocks when i get up....
When Conservatism becomes triumphant in the 2016 elections, whether it be Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin rising to the presidency, this useless liberal “invention” will be repealed. Daylight saving time is every bit as pernicious as its more recent kindred fraud, “net neutrality”.
Can’t we just move the clocks half an hour ahead and leave em like that forever? I hate DLST, it’s idiotic.
Those of us who have been stupid enough to use Microsoft software can vouch for that.
So, the employee clocked in at time x and out at time y. Hours worked should be y-x, right? Wrong! If x and y straddle a time change, the employee either gains or loses an hour! Why should the employee complain? Spring balances fall, right? LOL!
Intelligent folks, and those who have learned through experience, use the likes of Postgresql, which stores timestamps properly and can subtract them properly, DST notwithstanding!
I hate having to lose that hour and get up earlier each year.
I saw a few polls that said that heart attacks peak that day each year, or at least claims that there were.
And the least heart attacks the day we get the hour back in October.
Sounds good to me... I like it to be dark early.
I wish we had it year round. Getting dark in the middle of the afternoon in winter is for the birds.
Amazing magic we have in our clocks. . . we can create daylight!
Liberal stupidity on parade!
another Obama commie plot to steal everyting he can from American citizens
he’ll be giving all our hours to his IslamoNazi comrades in arms in Krapistan (Iraq, Iran, PA/PLO/Hamas/Syria/Libya, etc), just like he gives them our $$$ and armnaments
We all know that if ‘a little’ higher minimum wage is a good thing, say $15/hr, then a lot higher minimum wage is a great thing, like $275/hr. Using that same logic, if a little daylight savings time is a good thing, moving the clock forward just 1 hour, then wouldn’t a lot of daylight savings time be an excellent thing, like moving the clock forward say, 8 hours?
