I can’t believe the loud mouths down at Greenpeace and the Sierra Club haven’t gone after ISIS for the damage they are doing to “da enviomen”. If ISIS was a conservative group of taxpayers, you can bet Greenpeace and the Sierra Club would be all over them like white on rice.

But how interesting that the MSM finds this repulsive, but doesn’t appear to care much about Christians being beheaded, or being forced to watch their children be burned alive in cages for not converting.

How much of this vandalism is is iconoclasm for religious purposes and how much of it is to cover theft? I think that selling black market antiquities would be a great way to raise funds, and if the site is thought to have been totally obliterated, no one is going to try to track down the smaller pieces.
You just answered my main questions on why were they not selling these articles for the money. They most like are selling the most valuable, but yes, if we are told that entire sites have been ‘destroyed’, no one will be looking for them as they pass from sheikh to sheikh.

As evidenced by the Elgin Marbles, Cleopatra's Needle, etc., the Anglo-American world has done more to preserve the antiquities of other peoples than they have done for themselves. Were it not for el-Sisi's ouster of the MB in Egypt, I suspect the Sphinx would have already gone the way of the Bamiyan Buddhas. I think, at least subliminally, part of the left's outrage is that ISIS's destruction and pillaging of these treasures demonstrates to the world at least one facet of western civilization that is clearly superior to others.
Yet, when our troops are allowed to fight these “people” they have to be very careful not to disturb any of their “holy” sites; might make them mad....
Muslims are like modern liberals, they have to destroy everything and everyone that/who doesn’t fit into their paradigm of belief.
Time for Egypt to invade Libya and remove this threat— Make Libya a protectorate of Egypt—Bring Order!

Excellent point. Humanism and Socialism which could never have produced the glorious freedoms we have in the west use those very freedoms to smash the culture to bits. They hate G-d and the culture his words produces. They take their revisionist sledge hammers to destroy the foundation of society even though they have nothing to put in its place.
