Absolutely chilling to read about how she texted her boyfriend to "get back inside the car" when he decided that he did not want to kill himself after all. Apparently these texts are real as she has been criminally charged and is looking at 20 years in jail.
After his death, the woman then clamored to have herself involved in online fundraisers for the boys family and accused a friend (who started a fundraiser) of "taking credit for her idea."
A classic case of "pay attention to me, I'm special".
This is the dark side of social media. A lot of young adults out there are obsessed with getting themselves noticed on social media. I think that's why we are seeing such a drastic increase in weirdness, such as boys wanting to come to school dressed as girls. It's a way to get them noticed and get them famous in social media circles.
No, she should be hung. Or suffocated. Then spread all over social media to what happens to those that lead impressionable people to their deaths.
Disgusting. No mercy.
Munchausen by proxy?
“the dark side of social media”
No.
Humans can have a dark side. Social media is an inert object and is neither good nor bad. It can be used for good or for bad.
Human nature can go either way: the right way or the way of perversion. This creature is a perfect example of the result of liberalism which destroys natural human values
That’s a ridiculous charge! “Manslaughter by text!” ... LOL ...
A good lawyer is going to get ANYONE off such a stupid charge as “Manslaughter by text”!
If I text or post to someone, “Why don’t you go out and hang yourself and do the world a favor!” ... only an idiot for a prosecutor is going to try and bring a charge and any good lawyer will get that overturned!
I don’t care how much of an boorish girl that is ... because I see plenty of those boorish types on Free Republic too, but I don’t advise “bringing charges” against them.
These people in government positions sure going CRAZY with their power in their positions!
I guess it never occurred to her that her dead boyfriend would be found with his phone, and that her encouragement would be right there for everyone to see.
Oops.
I would have texted back, “F you B——, I ain’t dying for you!”
She couldn't just do handstands in a bikini?
She is a cold-blooded demon.
This is the dark side of social media.
Here is another example of the dark side of social media.

Another example is how social media was used to overthrow the Egyptian government.
Abhorrent as I find the idea of saying who can and can’t have children, I don’t believe this woman could ever be entrusted with the care of a child.
Bet the democrat political machine will be scarfing this young lady up. She has so many outstanding qualities she could be groomed for president.
A desire to market herself combined with an activist mentality all rolled up into a sociopathic lack of empathy. She watches her “life” from the outside like a tv show or cartoon, and decided that the sympathy and recognition she’d get for “losing” her boyfriend to suicide and starting a fundraiser for suicide prevention would look really good on Facebook. Good thing she was stupid and got caught. There are an increasing number of such detached, cruel and heartless people hiding behind the appearance of doing good.
I wouldn’t imagine any more bullcrap charges. This woman is surely evil, but please....so-called ‘victim’ is a willing human being who should know better. If he is such an idiot and a stupid message affects his decision-making this way he certainly don’t deserve to waste oxygen and really needs to get eliminated from a gene pool.
I don’t believe this young woman violated any law. Yes, she is evil, but she did not break the law. Any conviction coming from a court of law would set an extremely dangerous precedent.
You now see where a law might be needed to enforce morality on people of her disposition, but that would be tough to bring about, and would probably be so vague that it either would never hold up, or would be the avenue taken to persecute anyone with whom one had a disagreement.
