America needs to build up America.
And the Europeans continue to buy oil and raw materials from Russia...
In 2013, China’s defence budget rose by 10.7%. At $132B, China is 2nd highest military spender after the US.
They still aren’t spending anywhere what we spend, in dollar terms, but they do get a lot more “bang for the buck”.

I doubt China takes over 20 years to get an airplane into service (a la the JSF F-35). We not only have to safeguard our secrets and spend the necessary money - we also have to get faster and better. The Army’s FCS, the Navy’s LCS.... it seems like one fiasco after another.
With our enemy islamist CIC I really do fear for America.

There is a large segment of American companies in China right now, helping them.
That is the biggest problem America faces. “American” companies which are really Chinese companies, producing everything in China, hiring Chinese employees, but sending a portion of the goods made back to America.
One of our parties needs to stand up for America.

I sure hope, the GOP will be the party which stands up for the USA first.
Bring back US manufacturing.

Russia is also over $100 billion in spending right now... If the CIS is added in, it is over China’s...
And the Russians also get a much better bang for the buck.

I agree that what you say would happen IF it would happen. I do not think that China wants a war with its cash cow, namely, the USA. ;-)
I’d rather have China take over the U.S. than 7th century barbarians. At the rate we’re going this looks like a real possibility due to The One’s actions....
Looks like we need to buy some Submarines from China.
