In 2013, China’s defence budget rose by 10.7%. At $132B, China is 2nd highest military spender after the US.

They still aren’t spending anywhere what we spend, in dollar terms, but they do get a lot more “bang for the buck”.

Russia is also over $100 billion in spending right now... If the CIS is added in, it is over China’s...

And the Russians also get a much better bang for the buck.

We may get the F-35 Lightning 11 but all indications are that it is a multi-mission lawn dart that can’t climb, turn, speed and carry sufficient ordinance. A milti-role POS that can’t compete with existing craft. Dust off the F-14 and upgrade then we will have a chance.
